I want people to know before pride month starts that we still have a long ways to go to achieve happiness... I've been a victim of violence even as of recent, and I'm still struggling with loving myself as an individual who is gay. I struggle to be proud of who I am despite being gay, and it's thanks to the many horrific things people have told me, and also done to me. The government of the United States allows their LGBT victims to suffer in silence, and be treated worse than criminals, psychopaths, and even (dare I say it) rapists. I cannot tell you enough: This is utterly unacceptable. People here still believe that Gay men and women deserve to die and be punished with torture, and in many countries, it may be even worse. There may even be racial and religious bias thanks to their prejudices against us. Many families still kick their children to the streets for being gay to this day.
I don't mean to depress you when making this post. I don't mean to shock people. But, I do want you people to know how I feel when pride month starts. I feel that my hometown needs adjustment to modern times. I feel that people need to correct their thinking when it comes to bigotry and prejudice. As MLK wished for his family and his many followers, I wish the same thing: My fellow LGBT community to be safe and free from discrimination. Gay men not having to worry about being "blackfaced" (my term for being stereotyped in a mocking or derogatory manner) by media. Gay people not being taunted by far right individuals for being inferior.
In simple terms, I want one thing and one thing only for us, and that is to be treated like a regular, normal, decent human being.
It is sad and terrible that I have to even make this post. But... We need to get this message across to people as Gay individuals. We don't deserve to be treated this way, and I cannot emphasize that enough.
If you disagree, that's okay. I know many people have different experiences, and that most people will live a happier life. But, my experience was haunting to this day, which is why I make this post.

A user I know (Won't state names) really pissed me off rather recently with their disturbingly homophobic speech and the fact that they made a journal stating that a suicidal person was going to hell. It pissed me the fuck off, especially as someone who suffers from a depressive disorder myself, AND someone who is gay/bisexual. That being said, I cannot believe someone can use religion as an excuse to be such a tasteless and bitter person. I don't want to deal with people like this, especially since I myself suffer from bad Religious Trauma Syndrome (Was bullied and hurt for years simply because I was non religious/gay). I'm fixing to talk to my psychiatrist today about my mood swings, and strange behaviors that I've had over the last few weeks. I have a major feeling that I'm Bipolar. Why I say that is due to the mood swings and changes in behaviors that I have. Usually they go from being overwhelmingly excited and happy (Mania) to a crash into the void of depression (Depression). I always thought I had MDD (Major Depressive Disorder, or simply uni-polar depression), but considering that on occasion I have extreme signs of happiness, euphoria, and (pardon this) sexual urges, it's starting to raise some concerns. My parents usually notice when I'm having a manic episode, as I usually act like a kid high off of sugar (before you complain that I'm a child using FA, I'm 18 years of age. Please don't). When I'm depressed, they notice that I feel dread and don't look okay. I'm fixing to talk to my psychiatrist about this, as I do take medicine for depression, but feel the need to emphasize the fact that my mood is pretty much everywhere. I don't want to alarm people with this, as people would stigmatize mental illness as attention whoring (which it definitely isn't. I actually do experience these mood swings, and it sure as hell is NOT fun).
I do have a doctor, and am starting to take therapy for this as well. I need as much help and support as I can. If you read this, thanks for understanding. Feel free to comment or talk to me via discord (it's on my front page) about it. Thank you all.

Several people have targeted me for cyber-crimes and have intended to hurt me and my reputation by posting my private and/or public info on a page known as Encyclopedia Dramatica, one of which is disturbingly a user that uses this site. The information written on this website is extremely disturbing and horrific, often inciting threats to my life and safety, and using extremely vulgur homophobic, racist, and even ableist language. I have been planning to go to my local PD about it for a while now due to the potentiality and risk of Doxxing.
This user, terrifyingly enough, has also made edits of other pages directed and attempted to attack several other friends of mine that have either used this website in the past, or are present users of the website. My best friend has complained of doxxing and harassment, and even has admitted himself that he has wanted to take his life due to the sheer level of harassment and stress he's gone through. My boyfriend on top of that has been abused and attacked by numerous people and almost had his life taken from him several years ago, which further adds to the risk and danger that I'm in.
Because of the stress, and how much disturbance I have been under, I have been inactive on FurAffinity, and have not made art for days. I'm scared that my boyfriend and I may have to either buy a weapon or face the danger ourselves due to the doxxing. And trust me, when I say that people are disturbed and dangerous, I MEAN it...
To the person who wrote the article and published my and various other people's personal info, such as that of my best friend, I hope you are proud of yourself for inciting violence and murder on people who are just trying to live a normal day-to-day existence. The only difference between us, and any other community, is that we are marginalized on the basis of simply having an unorthodox outlet of expression. Whilst the LGBT are attacked on the basis of sex, and Latinos, Blacks, Jews, etc., are attacked on the basis of Race or Creed, so on and so forth, people are taking things a step further and mocking us for simply having a hobby.
