Paradox interactive is a company of Swedish people making games that should be worth $15, making the bare basics cost $20 and the complete come in hundreds of dollars worth of DLC. They are best known for making historical games, although they have made plenty of other games such as Stellaris.
Crusader Kings 2
One of the most famous paradox interactive titles, known for being the deformed lovechild of The Sims and Civilization. The fans got super excited about being capable of fucking a horse (Yes, really). The game gets constant praise for doing the same tasks over and over four hours until it reaches 1453.
Hearts of Iron 4
A game that allows you to play as Hitler, thus making it one of the few paradox games that encourages you to play as the good guy.

Lots of DLC that does absolutely nothing, although the game does allow you to genocide Natives for getting in the way of America.
Victoria 2

Lets you rape Africa and Asia in order to build an empire. Then the game becomes unplayable because after 1870 you'll be up to your ass in rebels every 5 minutes. Those rebels are also harder to get rid of than cockroaches.
Stellaris
A sci fi game that rips off Spore's space stage. Most fans want to fuck the aliens involved.
