A Metaverse is an VR open source network for basement-dwellers with no life, to socialize with another basement-dwellers and earn worthless money to buy fake houses, clothing, pets, etc. It is a place only for the sadest, who want to live life than they dream they could have in virtual world that you spend most your time to distract you from the fact everything is meaningless and you don't have a life. This place doesn't not exist.

The Metaverse can literally mean anything that is virtual, MMOs, websites, virtual concerts, games, etc. A lot of the time it is linked to NFTs, just to help get the crypto-bros interested, as nobody else gives a shit.
