Jellybean (Powerword: Alyssa "Issa" Jasmine Rodarte) is a 20-year old pale Mexican Minecraft YouTuber who is universally hated for her obnoxious personality, pathetic comedy and vacuous videos. In an attempt to scare her off, her dox was spread across the internet and endless videos were made mocking her YouTube in the hope she'd leave and never return. Like a cancerous growth, she has persisted and continues to spread her tiring videos and coordinate her rabid fans into annoying those around her.
Still in school, this fat beaner spends all day making videos instead of studying or getting a job. She started out making Minecraft videos in which she would scream and shout at full volume, all while remaining kid friendly and making jokes about being a proud ally of the LGBT community. These videos got incredibly popular, especially with kids, and soon Jellybean had a large online following with which she made short videos where she'd read the comments and comedically respond to them.
Since Jellybean was growing incredibly fast, as well as taking advantage of the new Youtube Shorts feature which was being shoved down everyone's throats, these terrible videos were being sent to everyone, quickly leading to the rest of the internet taking a dislike to Jellybean and her miserable comedy. What followed was months of ridicule and exposés as everyone came together to express their hatred of Jellybean and her peers, not helped by Jellybean's fans spamming of people's comment sections, making even more people aware, and disliking of her. While the angry mob has calmed down now and Jellybean has moved on, she is still heavily scrutinised and is seen as the epitome of the annoying and childish side of YouTube, the side that is heavily promoted by the website and it's algorithms, but heavily detested and resisted by a majority of the users.
Rise to Stardom
Minecraft's revival in 2019 and 2020 meant YouTubers dedicated to the game found themselves becoming Internet celebrities overnight as millions of children flooded the site, subscribing to everything and anything to do with Minecraft. Seeing the popularity of Dream and his mentally handicapped friends, Jellybean decided to follow the trend and upload her own Minecraft videos, becoming dedicated to the hobby in 2021. These first videos were not "inspired" by Dream, instead they were recreations of his videos, the only difference being that the commentary was coming from a socially challenged, fat faced Mexican "girl", instead of an autistic, fat Americunt.
By the beginning of 2022, Jellybean had adopted the "PNGtuber" style of video. An evolution of rantsonas, this kind of video is usually gameplay with cartoon stills in the corner who have a variety of exaggerated expressions ready to switch through as the person is talking. Jellybean plays Minecraft and records her commentary as she overreacts to everything on screen. Then all she has to do is throw the video through an app that applies the appropriate character reaction depending on the intensity of her voice, (which means the screaming face is the most common). A quick editing session to make the video a jump cut nightmare and there you go; another Jellybean video to add to the pile. While no means original, Jellybean definitely helped popularize this style. She uses art of her sexless purple alien, dressed in school uniform, as her character which has raised a few questions about her identity. She claims to be a she/they, which is so brave.
Around the same time as Jellybean started getting dedicated to her new-found YouTube hobby, in a petty attempt to be "hip and cool" like TikTok, YouTube introduced a new feature called "YouTube Shorts". These were vertical YouTube videos that had short time lengths, designed mainly for phone users. This feature was met with lots of backlash as the shorts were annoying to watch on a computer when 70% of the screen isn't being used, the obvious attempt to copy TikTok looked pathetic, and the shorts were being shoved in everyone's homepage and recommended section, meaning users felt like it replaced the videos they wanted to see. YouTubers quickly changed their opinion when they realised the first creators to make a popular short would have their video recommended everywhere, brining in plenty of cash. One of these first creators was Jellybean whose kid-friendly, short attention span pandering videos fit the shorts feature perfectly. Soon millions of children were being recommended Jellybean shorts and videos, which quickly helped her grow a large fanbase, both on YouTube and Twitch. Now with just over a million subscribers and a large viewer base every time she streamed, Jellybean moved from just Minecraft, to videos where she reacted to fan and hate comments. These videos did very well, as they helped her farm engagement with her shorts, as YouTube promotes videos that get likes and comments.
Controversies
Jellybean advertised her new discord server which opened the floodgates as she could now set braindead challenges for her child fans and have them suggest ideas or ask questions, allowing her to spam her short videos. Ironically, after becoming famous through a TikTok ripoff, Jellybean also created a TikTok account, a second one as her first got banned, and this account also blew up with millions of views and followers. It seemed Jellybean had successfully built a loyal fanbase, one who would support whatever she did. However, with her videos being Tumblr-style comedy and pro-acceptance, this fanbase was a blessing and a curse. For example, a clip of Jellybean playing Five Nights at Freddy's got her fans upset when she jokingly accused one of the silly robots as a pedophile, which without a trigger warning and respect for Freddy-kinners, she upset a sizeable amount of her audience. An apology and beg for forgiveness seemed to resolve the issue, but this example should demonstrate why this fanbase was not all positives.
Another example would be when fake screenshots came out of Jellybean saying nigger on Discord. Despite the fact that a blind mole could tell they were fakes, her own fans immediately turned their backs on her, because how could anyone ever fake something to make someone look bad? Jellybean herself had to prove the screenshots were fake, but for some reason her fans could not let go of their grudge and Jellybean's channel took a small dent.
Spamming
In February 2022, Jellybean posted a video in which she commanded her fans to break the record for most comments on a YouTube short by spamming "It's not a mistake it's a masterpiece" in her comments, 10 times at the minimum. due to her fans not being old enough to work or drive, they could spend hours spamming, and many did so hundreds and thousands of times, only stopping when their mom called them to dinner. Jellybean quickly broke the record, which lead to the official YouTube account replying with the now well worn out phrase. despite accomplishing their goal, her fans took to spamming this copypasta on other videos which mentioned Jellybean, and then they took it a step further by spamming it on other shorts not made by jellybean, then moving to Minecraft YouTubers, and then to literally everyone they could find.
Jellybean eventually responded by asking her fans to only comment on her videos, but this fell on deaf ears as her fans were happily vandalizing every comment section they could get their dirty mitts on. This lead to videos of other creators telling Jellybean to kill herself and making fun of the shit-show that was her fanbase. Soon the attention towards Jellybean shifted from anger to ridicule, as people watched her videos and saw how they were even more annoying than her fans.
JellyBozo and #JellyMid
A new trend emerged in which people would take a Jellybean video and every time she made a bad joke, said something out of context, or just screamed, the video would cut to a Berserk meme with some shitty phonk music, making fun of her. This became an instant success on YouTube, soon millions were making "JellyBozo" videos, partly to express their dislike of her content, but also to cash in on the hate train.
On TikTok, these videos were made shorter to fit the app, and some emulated the style to mock her TikTok videos. These edits, using the hashtag #JellyMid, became so successful that they started to gain more views and likes than Jellybean's videos. Jellybean did not respond to these videos for a long time, until the JellyBozo trend finally died down and she felt comfortable enough to make vague references to the mass bullying.
Meowbahh
Jellybean inspired millions of other talentless hacks to also become PNGtubing Minecrafters, leading to YouTube and TikTok becoming flooded with lazy videos with ugly avatar artwork. As a parody of all the new wholesome Minecraft kids, a new creator emerged calling herself "Meowbahh". Meowbahh was a parody who pretended to be genuine at first, but slowly hinted at her real intentions. Forcing a high-pitched anime voice, and slipping "kawaii" in every sentence, Meowbahh starting tagging and mentioning Jellybean, feigning interest and adoration for her content.
However, it came out that Meowbahh was a troll, with videos of her using slurs and insults while in Discord calls. Jellybean ignored and eventually blocked Meowbahh, leading to the two of them attacking each other. Jellybean tried to be professional, saying she didn't want to interact with Meowbahh. Meanwhile Meowbahh was calling Jellybean a "fucking retarded nigger.".
Rule 34
Jellybean made a joking rant about the rule 34 of fellow cartoony YouTubers like Jaiden Animations who became infamous for the pornography her fans made despite her claiming to not be interested in cock or cunt. Since the hate train for Jellybean had already started picking up steam at this point, pornography of Jellybean's purple avatar was quickly produced, overwhelming her Discord server until moderators stepped in. Drama YouTubers came out of the woodwork and started using cropped version of the art for thumbnails, condemning the artists whilst profiting off their work. Jellybean didn't react well, banning people from talking about it and complaining that she was still a child.
This was completely Jellybean's fault, her content is for kids and she never had sexual jokes or references. The Minecraft community has always had an issue with attracting paedophiles and her idol Dream had issues with creepy fans sexualizing him a year earlier. Her rant about rule 34 was like poking the bear with the stick. Most of the artists involved admitted they did it for the reaction and to annoy Jellybean, a plan which clearly worked with the overreaction on her Discord, as well as her TikTok where she disabled her comments for a few days.
Doxxing
A short video containing Jellybean's dox was created, with her legal name, age, school, family photos, her brother and sister, as well as her home address. This video was easy to spread around on Discord as it was so short that even free accounts could share it around. It started on Drama servers but spread all across the service to servers that had nothing to do with Jellybean, and eventually it went to forums and social media.
Jellybean responded like a 16 year old autist, crying about how "traumatizing" it is and that her only hope was that it would never happen to anyone else. She privated her TikTok for a few days so that the hate and dox comments would be reduced, only for her TikTok account to get banned, requiring her to make another account that ended up more popular than the previous one. Detractors of Jellybean, as well as Meowbahh all rallied to help spread the word of Jellybean's suspension, trying to help her get a new account, which might seem like a surprisingly kind gesture, until you realise they need her to make more awful content if they're to keep paying the bills.
Coming out from the closet
On the 1st of June, 2022, it has been reported that Alyssa came out as an enby bitch hence her post on Twitter which you can find here, keep in mind that she was bisexual before she made the transition.
