The Academy maniacs were a pair of serial killer Ruski teens who murdered old ladies, the homeless and a child with hammers for the lulz. The lovable misfits duo is comprised of Artyom Alexandrovich Anoufriev and Nikita Vakhtangovich Lytkin.
Before Vladislav Roslyakov shamefully stole the well known American pastime of school shootings, it was popular for disaffected Slavic youths to merc old people with hammers. Artyom and Nikita were inspired by the shock video, 3 Guys, 1 Hammer and tried to one up them... but failed due to getting 12 less kills and even more shamefully, not even recording their exploits.
As with another pair of murderous teens, they have found popularity on the "true crime community" (TCC) corner of Tumblr and TikTok alongside fan favorites Adam Lanza and TJ Lane (with his extraordinary kill count of 3). While their fanbase is not quite as expansive as that of the Columbiners, they are about equal in popularity to the "Roofies" and have easily surpassed the now forgotten "Holmies".
Background
Artyom and Nikita were born in the middle of nowhere Irkutsk in Russia and both unsurprisingly grew up with their fathers absent from their lives.

Artyom was successful in school getting good grades and being popular amongst his classmates and seemingly having a bright future in life as a friendly and generally well-liked fellow who played in his school rock band, however, he was really mentally ill but never showed it to those around him. Nikita was the social opposite of Artyom, being a depressed emo loser with the personality of a toad, who had no goals in life and was rude to everyone he met for no reason at all, thus becoming a target for bullying from his peers as a result.
You may be wondering how the two became friends considering they seem to be polar opposites of eachother socially, but they both shared the similarity of mental illness and extremism. The two met each other at a friends birthday party, they became friends likely as a result of homosexual connection that they uncovered. They only ever saw each other and their other friends drifted away from them gradually over time, Artyom slowly became less popular and became a deranged loner like Nikita.
Sometime before meeting, Artyom indulged in white power skinhead culture and had even gone to some protests, meaning he was already on thin ice in regards to delving into degeneracy, this degeneracy spread onto Nikita and the degeneracy that Nikita already harbored spread onto Artyom. They begand a music duo together called Evil Dwarfs, they stopped using that name and rebranded as Dismembered PugachOva. Their songs centred around a theme of violence and wanting to murder people, totally normal behavior for two severely mentally ill teenagers, nothing to see here!

After they watched a documentary about murderers, the two became obsessed with these criminals and wanted to be like their heroes, making online tributes and songs dedicated to them. Around November 2010, the pair began their plan to get a high score.
Murders
The time had come and the pair had finally decided to begin their attempts to get the high score, but they have set two rules first:
- Only try to kill women and children. This rule was set by Nikita because he's a pussy and is afraid of facing someone who could actually fight back. But if they do kill a man, it has to be a homeless one ...or one who's also asleep.
- Attack them from behind so they can't see you're faces. This was actually the first time any of these two had a smart idea in their lives.
Now here below are all the incidents in chronoligical order. Just a head up, be prepared to see the phrase "but they survived" a lot.
- November 14, 2010 – They smashed an 18-year-old girl over head with a bottle while she was walking from school but she survived, she made a post about it on a forum afterwards, the two responded to her and asked about how she felt when she was attacked. Proof that on the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.
- November 24, 2010 – They attacked a 46-year-old woman and then stole her bag but she survived.
- December 1, 2010 –They attacked another woman but but she survived, they shit their pants after some people spotted them so they took her bag and ran away. In the bag there was 500 rubles which they used to buy mallets.
- November 24, 2010 - The same day, they knew they had to redeem themselves from that previous failure, so they saw a 12-year-old boy Danil Semyonov, who went to their school. Semyonov was riding down a hill with his snow-scooter. Nikita, noticing the boy and immediately began fapping. Nikita beat him in the head with the mallet and when he fell, Artyom continued to beat him with a baseball bat, then Nikita stabbed a penknife into his head before they fled. The boy's mother and brother found him alive, but when they were taking him to the hospital, they got stuck in traffic and he died in the car. The "experts" determined his death an accident despite the fact he had a hole in his skull.
- December 16, 2010 – They killed a 69-year-old woman by stabbing her thirty times and recorded the audio.
- December 29, 2010 – They attacked Inessa Svetlova but she survived and they just took her bag, which they threw away.
- December 29, 2010 – The same day, they attacked a 22-year-old pregnant woman by smashing her skull and snapping her fingers, but she survived.
- January 1, 2011, happy new year! – They killed a sleeping homeless man by hitting him in the head forty times. He was never indentifed.
- January 30, 2011 – They beat a guy but survived with just a concussion.
- February 3, 2011 – They split the skull of an elderly woman but she survived.
- February 9, 2011 – They attacked a woman but she survived.
- February 21, 2011 – They killed a drunk guy named Alexander Maximov by ripping of his jaw, cracking open his skull, shooting him in the face with an air gun and trying to gouge out his eyeballs.
- February 27, 2011 – Nikita, on his own, beat a woman but she fought back and survived.
- March 11, 2011 – They killed another homeless person, Roman Faizullin by shooting him in the face, dragging him into some bushes and stabbing him in the head, groin and chest with knives. Nikita tried to cut off his hand but the knife was too small and only cut off his little finger. Artyom took some pics of the body.
- Unknown date – They attacked a homeless woman but she survived, a police officer spotted them but they successfully escaped.
- Unknown date – They attacked a woman at a gate using a screwdriver but she survived.
- April 3, 2011 – They killed their last victim, a 63-year-old homeless woman Alevtina Kuydina, they first killed her, then filmed themselves mutilating her corpse. On the video, shot by Artyom, Nikita cut off the woman's ear with a knife, after which he tried to cut off her hand and gouge her eyeballs, but he failed and then he threw the knife straight into the woman's eye and began to stab her repeatedly in the face. Later, they put the ear on a porch in their school and sent the video to Artyom's online friend who spread it all over the internet. If you wanna watch it, scroll to the top of this section.
So in total they killed 6 people, tried to kill 11 other people but only 9 of them sustained any injuries, not a very good ratio.

Aftermath, arrest and aftermath
During the time between murdering people, meetings were being held in the local area to discuss on how the killers could be v& and brought to justice, Artyom and Nikita attended these meetings and even gave input on how to catch the killers, fucking topkek. Sometime before April 5, 2010, Nikita left his house for a few hours, likely to have moist, sweaty, wet, soggy, endrenching, sopping, slushy, oily, gay sex with Artyom. Whilst he was gone, his mother found a knife in his coat pocket, he told her it was for self-defense, the next day when he was gone again for his slippery adventures, his uncle found his camera which contained recorded footage of their lulzsprees. For the first time in the entire case, someone did something genuinely smart and he reported them to the cops.
The two were subsequently arrested and confessed to the murders, teeth and weaponry were found in their rooms. They spent two years in court dealing with all the boring court jargon and then they were given their sentences (which took 8 hours to read out in court), Artyom was given life imprisonment while Nikita was sentenced to 20 years. During their imprisonment, they did nothing but whine and beg to be moved into the same prison as eachother so they can have more fun with penis sex, going so far that Nikita even tried to murder another inmate to get sent to the higher-security prison that Artyom was in, but instead he was kept in the same prison and just given a longer sentence.
It should also be mentioned, there are HUNDREDS of fan girls obsessed with these two, around the same scale as there are Columbiners even. There are 1300 digital flowers left on Nikita Find a Grave memorial, all of them follow the same basic structure of them telling a person who dosen't even exist anymore about how much they love him and think about him and want to have sex with his rotting skeletal corpse. If you search them up on any social media platform, you will be met with more fan content romanticizing and glorifying the pair than actual things like news clips, true crime analyses or interviews.
In 2021, after spending 8 years in prison and realizing he ruined his life for no reason, an heroed in his jailcell by slashing his wrists. Good for him I guess. He got nominated for the 2021 Golden iPod, but lost to Lowtax. In 2024, Artyom got engaged whilst still in prison to a fan girl named Daphne, there is no hard post or page with dedicated information about the engagement so if you care enough about it, flick through [1] Reddit results or do some own digging yourself. So if you are a lonely incel who fantasizes about going postal, go right ahead! Because if you do, then there will be a chance that you will get thousands of fan girls and surely one will want marry you, just make sure to make yourself look somewhat presentable before you do it because if you are genuinely hideous, then don't expect any fan mail to come through those cell bars.
