On April 22, 2018, Travis Jeffrey Reinking shot up a Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee, with an AR-15 wearing only a jacket after realizing the Waffle House was filled with CIA agents. He killed 4 CIA agents disguised as Waffle House customers and injured another 2 before he got tackled by one of the people he injured, James Shaw Jr., after his gun jammed. So, like the sane person he was, he took off running, leaving his jacket behind, completely naked, which started a manhunt that lasted 34 hours until he was found near the Waffle House at a forest. To this day, it remains the sanest thing to happen at a Waffle House.

Background

Travis claimed that he was planning to marry Taylor Swift (though he also claimed he was gay), though she later started stalking him. Some time in 2017, Travis cross-dressed at a public pool and flashed the lifeguard.

Soon after Travis escaped the scene of the crime, completely naked, he went missing and soon ended up on the TBI's top ten most wanted. He got found 34 hours later, and was sent to a mental hospital before he was put on trial in 2022 and got life without parole.
