Ian Hodgson AKA Martin Somers runs the Somersault's Forum site, and is a member of BoyChat. He is an older pedophile who talks a lot about the boys he has been with throughout his years. He is rather depressed, talks about suicide and his failing health, but still manages to post to his forums quite a bit under many names, mostly 'Tangie' and 'Somersault'

Somersault AKA Ian Hodgson AKA Martin Somers AKA Tangie is the founder/administrator of several websites, which not only offer a place for fellow pedophiles to gather for socialization and support, but also offer backup services to the members of other pedophile sites should they experience connectivity problems. He is a long time member of BoyChat and was a junior webmaster at Raveloe's Castle, a now defunct pedo site, which featured images of nude boys. Somers was also a founding member of the Montreal Ganymede Collective.

Somers was also convicted of gross indecency and sexual assault against boys as young as 11 years of age in 1990. Some of his victims were students, as he was a high school teacher at the time. He was also sued by one of his victims. Somers is also mentioned in this recent article, which focuses on Montreal's growing reputation as a safe-haven for pedophiles.

In 2006, under the name Martin Somers, he published a book called Path To Triplos, which can be found on Amazon.com. The story is about a fantasy world, which a young boy travels to, however the truth is that the book is nothing more than a facade meant to hide his pro-pedophilia intentions.

When he posts on the message boards, Somers comes across as an angry person, who complains constantly about his health. He claims to have suffered from various forms of cancer, some of which have been cured or removed, but still he cries of death knocking on his door and the deep depressive state of mind that causes him to entertain thoughts of suicide. He has also mentioned having had a young friend named "Teraniel", who apparently left him after becoming disgusted with Somers' behavior, giving Somers cause to lament his absence and contemplate suicide in his posts on the forums. He has mentioned other young friends as well, some of whom he has met through online services such as IRC. Somers states that his AoA is about 11 to 16 years of age, but has had YFs as young as 8 and 10 years old.

It comes so quickly that it has a more devastating effect on the BL, which delays the start of the next cycle. Who would want to repeat this again, so soon after the last hurt?

It's happened to me, it's probably happened to most of us. I was thankful that my advancing age would put an end to the cycle of ecstacy and hurt. Except that it didn't. It's happened again a few months ago, and now it's happening yet again altogether too soon. A youngster has tired of devoting time and energy to me, and is reaching out and devoting it to the community instead. This is right; this is the way it should be, but this hurts nonetheless.

We noticed a pedophile posting with the user name Tangie and found that other anti-pedophile activists had connected a real name to him. Here are the steps we took to confirm that information:

Tangie states that his book has been published and available at Amazon shortly after the publish date of Martin Somers’ stories on Amazon.
Martin Somers is listed as the registrant of Somersault's Forums. The phone number and location are the same as Ian M Hodgson.
Somersault reports his illness is getting worse and his lack of energy. It is well known Tangie suffers from many ailments, including cancer.
Martin Somers and Somersault both run tech forums, making the final link.
Ian M. Hodgson = Martin Somers AKA Somersault AKA Tangie.

For them I can safely invest emotional energy without at least the fear that they are fakes.
