Flag burners are honorable citizens, driven by righteous indignation, to burn the flag of their country or their enemy's countries in the hopes of bringing attention to their urgent causes.

In a fully enlightened society, these patriots would be honored. In fact, "flag desecration" is actually a law which carries a penalty of fines and imprisonment in certain patriotic zealot countries, despite it being no more than a colored piece of material.

Justin Bieber, always the media whore, decided to enrage all of South America by using a flag of Argentina as both a doormat and a mop when he stepped on it and used his mic stand to sweep it off of the stage. Bieber is too Canadian to actually burn a flag, but he desecrated one nonetheless, in yet another fit of adolescent rebellion and impersonation of his idol Michael Jackson.

He later tried to control the damage by claiming he had believed it to be an article of clothing which had been thrown on stage, as he's used to having bras and panties soiled underwear thrown at him on a regular basis, along with water bottles.
