Qatar (pronounced cat-ah) is the Chinese bootleg version of Dubai, the nation sticks out of the Arabian peninsula like a tiny choad doing its best to fuck the Persian Gulf. It only shares a land border with Saudi Arabia but is spitting distance from United Arab Emirates if you can train the right camel. You could probably launch a terrorist attack on international travel without having to leave your hotel room, using only items available at Walmart.

Soccer World Cup

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is due to be held in Qatar, though this has caused some international controversy over the fact that they did not have an appropriate stadium so used slaves to build one. Not victims of capitalism, not poorly paid workers, literal slaves in the current year.

This will be the first time the rest of the world has had a reason to actually go to the middle east in large numbers, so may be a cause for social reform to bring sand niggers up to date with the rest of humanity. Qatar tourism marketing have been bragging about this for over a decade. It has been established that messing with football doesn't end well for anyone, so this event should go ahead regardless of external factors.

Airline Travel

Qatar has established itself as a popular rest stop for planes, allowing people to travel the world with a stopover in the middle-east. This is essentially what Dubai is known for though Qatar Airways is slightly cheaper, so a good option for people whose final destination is Israel. Like any middle-eastern country, Qatar is not a safe place for queer people, so you should consider other arrangements. Was previously a popular way to get Australians to Europe before the direct flight from Perth to London allowed people to skip all that bullshit.
