Franco-Prussian War is the historical event where France thought they could 1v1 Prussia and ended up getting absolutely dogwalked in public. It led to France taking the fattest L since they decided to invade Russia in winter and gave birth to Germany, who immediately started side-eyeing Europe like a final boss.
