Gaiden (Weebspeak: 外伝; pronounced: gai-den) is a Japanese term which essentially translates to "Non-canon bullshit that noone cares about." and generally refers to video games and other forms of media in an established franchise that are considered too shitty to be released, but are still released because the company desperately needs the Jewgolds.
