Mukbang

Mukbang or 먹방 in moonspeak is the act of eating massive amounts of food on stream. The mukbang is one of many aspects of South Korean culture that has been exported to the west in recent times alongside K-Pop and Cho Seung Hui. The practice originated sometime around 2008 on the Korean Twitch precursor AfreecaTV. Desperate to keep ronery middle aged wagecuck salarymen from killing themselves, the South Korean government implanted cute girls streaming themselves eating. This way, the depressed masses with nothing to live for could feel like they have someone to eat with, allowing them to maintain the lowest amount of seratonin necessary to not fling themselves off of buildings. These working people with more money than social skills threw money at these streamers to encourage them to eat moar. Thus, more and more people started recording themselves eating hideous amounts of food for easy money.

The mukbang was eventually discovered by the lardass Americunts and Canucks over on Jewtube around 2014 looking for an excuse to gorge themselves on camera. Real-life gyaru and all-around braphog Trisha Paytas are credited with popularizing the mukbang in the western hemisphere in 2015. All good things must come to an end, white people had once again ruined everything.

The video genre dedicated to eating food is now rife with deathfats starting drama for any reason. Massive butthurt occurred after Veronica Wang was offended by an unfunny but innocent edit of her content and issued a DMCA takedown. A master of trolling, Nikocado Avocado has capitalized on the peoples' insatiable thirst for lulz and has amassed many jewgolds.

Who would watch this?

The least deranged mukbang watchers claim to see it as a type of wish fulfillment. Others feel sadistic pleasure from watching cute Asians eating live sea creatures. A sizeable amount of weirdos also like the ASMR. In general however, the community is mostly comprised of 16-year-old girls due to their love for Azns and petty drama. Reaction channels and shitty tea channel that bring nothing to the table and just reacts to them just eating are plentiful.

Humanity has devolved to a state where people are so starved for human interaction, they have to watch a 300-pound hambeast eating 3 tons of yakisoba to not feel empty on the inside.
