2015: the shooting of Jason Begin by augusta maine police
On january 13 2015 Jason begin was at a meeting with riverview when they informed jason that he would be placed back inside the riverview compound after a he had been living in a supervised apartment complex.
Mr.Begin then pulled out a knife and started stabbing himself before that had happened riverview had called the augusta police to be there as they moved Mr.Begin back to riverview.
The officer who arrived did so as Jason begin was stabbing himself.
The officer fired a shot from her gun into Jason begin.

The officer who shot Jason begin is called Laura Drouin. she is only 22 years old. she is not working as an officer as they investigate the shooting of Mr.Begin. officer Laura Drouin had no idea that she would be walking into what had happened. she was there without back up and fired her gun because Mr.Begin was a danger to himself and others and to her. I feel like she should not be punished for not being sent with back up and not knowing what was going on. she is also very young so she must not have been on the force long. i think she should be back to work as soon as possible.

2004/2003: suicide by airplane?
in 2003 Mr.begin stole a plane from the Turner airport and crashed it in a field near Montreal. Jason Begin was years 25 years old at the time. on Sept. 27 2003 Jason Begin used a screwdriver and pliers to hot-wire a 1976 Cessna at Twitchell’s Airport. Begin then flew the plane into Canada before it ran out of fuel and crashed. He suffered minor injuries and was immediately captured by Canadian authorities. Begin, who does not have a pilot’s license, was trying to reach Montreal in hopes of escaping two sexual assault charges in Androscoggin County but later he said he was trying to kill himself with the plane.... somehow. Begin was detained in Canada on immigration and stolen-property charges but police agreed to turn him over to U.S. investigators.
