This is the face I make when I am involved in an activity or want to perform an activity to the fullest extent possible. Obviously.

The phrase "D8" means to be deeply involved in an activity or to perform an activity to the fullest extent possible. Typically this is used when discussing illegal activity occurring online, such as demolishing AT&T or young children.

Some argue that it's also an emoticon that means Oh shit.

Context

This is what is written in the criminal complaint against weev and Daniel Spitler in the Goatse Security/at&t iPad case.

The FBI agent who wrote this complaint perjured himself by blatantly lying about the meaning of the emoticon D8. There is not a single reference anywhere on the Internet to support anything other than D8 being a "smiley", and that Spitler was simply saying "Oh fuck" at the realization that he could be sued for the activity that they were later convicted of committing with the help of this lie. A far cry from the incriminating definition that the FBI maliciously and purposefully injected into the notes of the complaint.

Spitler: do I got to get involved
Auernheimer: no
Spitler: I'd like myanonaminity
Auernheimer: alright
Spitler: sry dunno how legal this is or if they could sue for damages
Auernheimer: absolutely may be legal risk yeah, mostly civil you absolutely could get sued to fuck
Spitler: D8 ¹

¹ The phrase "08" means to be deeply involved in an activity or to perform an activity to
the fullest extent possible.
