This kind of signal is reserved only for Batman.

It's a well known fact that lesbians signal each other like this.

Signaling is how members of one culture broadcast their presence to other members of that culture within the vicinity. Similar to a secret handshake, it's an action or sensory cue that serves to authenticate the signaler so that they can be implicitly trusted.
