Ongezellig is a real place.

Ongezellig, meaning "Unsociable" in its native tongue (a word that perfectly describes you), is an elusive Dutch "anime" that saw a slow production through 2018-2022, seeing 6 episodes before being discontinued. The show revolves around a quirky shut-in and her two adopted sisters who must overcome their differences to finish a school project together. Riveting, isn't it? Despite the show's lack of content, it still garnered a degree of unwarranted attention. Thankfully, no cartoon networks gave it, nor Studio Massa, said unwarranted attention. Internationally, Ongezellig gained some popularity on 4chan beginning in 2018, particularly among /co/ and /qa/. In the same year, the Ongezellig Booru was created as a dumping ground for 4chan's favorite foot fetish and underage school girl porn images related to the show. Beginning in 2022, Ongezellig became the biggest hyper-fixation afflicting Soyjak.party because soyteens like to rehash everything that was once trendy on 4chan whilst pretending to be original.

Maya A shut-in aspie who suffers from a made up condition known as ADD (which stands for Autism Denial Disorder). She doesn't do her school work or hang out with her sisters because she'd rather be watching tentacle porn all day. The amount of consumed pornographic materials caused her to develop schizophrenia and imagining real people as her non existent friends in sexual scenarios, usually at isolated places like tropical island or a roof of an office building.
Coco Originally from South Africa, she was put up for adoption because her parents died, which is one of the few things she'll break character over despite it being the only reason she hasn't been raped to death by a gang of niggers (srsly, just look up South African rape statistics). A naive blonde who is too kindly and never gets a hint, her computer illiteracy is just as bad as her social literacy, which despite being the most normal out of the three sisters, still puts her at risk of failing her school presentation project.
Mymy A bug-eyed Jap and aspiring Dutch imperialist whose skin is as orange as Donald Trump. She hates her own race because her chink parents put her up for adoption for being female, so now she tries to be as Dutch as possible by wearing blue contact lenses and dying her hair ginger so she looks more like a pumpkin. Her self-loathing sense of white supremacy coupled with her pure Japanese heritage made her an instant fan-favorite among 4channers.
Vera The sisters' alcoholic teacher. She is so tired of it all and wishes the Nerf gun Mymy fired at her head was a real gun. She is constantly chugging down vodkas to get through the day.
Everyone else All of the irrelevant background characters in the sisters' classroom that do literally nothing but sit there in the background nodding off or looking doped as fuck.

Soyzellig.party (also referred to as The Zarty) is a splinter of Soyjak.party with a focus this overrated Dutch cartoon. They use the demonym "Zaryan" to refer to each other, although it should be noted that "Zaryan" can also refer to a fan of the web series. The imageboard was created after /zellig/ was voted off of the Sharty as part of the 50 Board Plan. Notably, there have been two other attempts to created a Ongezellig imageboard before this, consisting of Zellig.party & Zellig.site respectively. There is also a subsplinter called Mayaplier.win, which currently redirects to a picture of Nikocado Avocado's asshole.

Schoolocaust

Schoolocaust is a lulzy top-down shooter game created by Zaryans based off a scene in ep. 2 where Mymy threatens to commit a "Schoolocaust" and fires a Nerf gun at Vera's head, but instead of being a toy gun, it's a real gun and Mymy commits a school shooting and kills off all her classmates while they hide and run throughout the school.

Last Thursday, big YouTuber Soyberspark made Soyzellig.party mildly upset when he decided to react to some episodes of Ongezellig on a stream, which they feared threatened their Zaryan culture and would bring about a new wave of carcinogenic pro-gooner Twitter immigrants into their fanbase and possibly bring about Zelligate 2.0. (watch them SEETH in this thread.) Zaryans were swift to make his comment section gemmy, prompting him to take the video down one day later. Currently, this video is lost media, but honestly, nothing of value was lost. If only his entire channel could become lost media too.

Onion Dweller's Parody

When the show's (more precisely - pilot's) popularity was about to die out and it seemed certain to lose all of its most devoted fans, it was expected by no one for the fandom to get revived by Onion Dweller's parody cartoon. With improved artstyle and new characters like the Israel immigrant, Yana, both old and new fans got encouraged to look into the series once again. In addition to that, it helped with the fantards' emotional distress after the news about the original shows cancellation.
Onion Dweller, unlike Studio Massa tries to develop the story and give the characters some real personality instead of doing nothing and collecting money for extra art for a show that would never get released.
