FMA: Redemption
Fullmetal Alchemist: Redemption (whoa, dramatically desu title 8D), was an unfinished project......sorry, a project that was extensively advertised, but the public never got to see a mere line of real plot, which apparently, according to the few illustrations relating this project uploaded by the “authors”, revolves around a sick homosexual relationship between Envy (in OOC state) and Sin (ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL).
(More details on Sin -ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL- below…)
Story
Intro
Among the other characters that populate this derisive doujinshi attempt, Plain Jane/Mary Sue Ramie is worth highlighting, it is believed that she was supposed to be the story’s main character (or Sin’s mother given that their designs are fairly similar.), but turns out she’s nothing but yet another angsty DESU teen with automail, pretending to be “only a librarian, a normal girl”; but she still ends up getting involved in the Elrics’ battles risking her life God knows why. (All of this according to the pictures that once existed.)
Not long ago, both authors announced that “the FMA world is way too complaicated” for them to go on with their doujinshi without turning the FMA universe upside-down, (A.K.A. we have not creativity whatsoever and we never did) and the doujinshi was cancelled under the excuse if it now becoming a completely original Manga, in which the thematic of Envy and Sin’s sick love prevails. (Envy’s design has been plagiarized by the authors resulting in a so called parody of him.)
On The Authors:
But of course, such a big failure could only result from the union two minds, both just as equally FAIL and emotionally disturbed, they seem to share the tendency to take a little bit too much inspiration from other artists (Or even plagiarizing FMA’s original characters.) Below is a small summary on each author, the “master minds” behind this ridiculous project:
DeadlySin
This is what her journals usually look like:
—-Deadly Sin. |
This fake emo artist is constantly depressed, and writes big ass journals on her psychological condition nobody gives a shit about, and she expresses her self-pity every 2 lines words. On a different note, her use of Xx___xX lets us know that her mind is still stuck in the teenage Blogger stage.
At present, 70% of her deviations have an emo nature, and she claims her friends are horrible, hate her and she expects someone to feel pity for her. nobody does so she later disable comments).
However, she’s pretty two-faced, when she doesn’t feel like making others feel bad for her, she switches to her bitch self (Which not many get to meet(?)) she’ll make you see you don’t have a different point of view, you are simply wrong if you don’t see things the way she does. Same thing if you tell her the hair of one of her OCs would look better if she lowered the saturation by 2 points; you’re automatically her enemy for not seeing her art is perfect. You can’t even tell there’s a small typo in her artist’s descriptions, journals or comments, but she’ll tear you down if she happens to find out you own a sueish OC OR an OC that’s better than hers.
(Watch out, jealous bitch be lurking.)
Taralen
More whining…
—-Taralen |
Complementing and supplementing the aforementioned is Taralen, DeadlySin’s official ass kisser, she however owns an amazingly huge ego. She’s characterized by the use of a different strategy to get attention: she goes on “long breaks” (For reasons nobody gives a shit about.) every 1-2 weeks, depending on how much attention she’s trying to attract. On a different note, while her anatomy skills leave much to be desired, she dares “ATTACK” every OC, Sue or not because of its appearance. Her critiques have a humongous and effective destruction power when her Master, DeadlySin, is around to give support, even though she complains when others butt in.
This breed of bitch defines herself as a “self-proclaimed ass kisser diva”, the typical “friend of a popular person”, that feels like her Master’s audience has got her back and does as she pleases. Be careful, try not to say anything about her art or she’ll get her Master on you. (She’ll go kiss her ass while nobody’s watching.)
- ( ^ No joking, real comment taken from her DA profile.......)
What makes her so adorable is how you greet her nicely “Hey what’s up? Everything going ok?” and she’ll go “Eh? Why are you asking this? Are you implying something has to be wrong!?” Yes, she’ll always find or make up a reason to feel like you are harassing her, plotting something against like you’re a stalker.
The "Birth" of FMA: REDEMPTION
Ignoring the fact they probably have no idea what “Redemption” means (But it sounds cool, desu.) this bad project attempt was born sometime between the end of year 2009 and the start of 2010. (It’s hard to tell do to the fact evidence has been deleted almost completely, pictures, journals, etc; they were clearly ashamed of themselves.)
Many other similar projects surfaced during that time and were acknowledged due to their supposedly good quality art. (Fia, Alex and Steph are to be highlighted, the last two gained popularity mainly because they were bootlicker with Fia.) Much to the world’s dismay, these fans soon became role models for many of the followers of the FMA fandom resulting in the creation of an increasing number of bad fan stories and sue characters.
Their Own Website……
Facing the impossibility of gaining fans, both authors created a website for their doujinshi in an attempt to make themselves believe they did. This website was of course nothing but a WIP that never came to be, but it all looked pretty because they decorated it to pretend it was serious business. The website has a few sub-sections, story summary –blank, WIP, never finished- and pretty much everything else is the same except for the Characters Section and the Home Section which barely has a picture of our supposed main character (Where we can see how they plagiarized Edward’s design.) and the Elric brothers. An almost empty News Section can be seen below. The only section that’s actually got something to offer, is the Characters Section which is actually missing some of their characters either because they forgot to add them or they had no idea what to write in their Bios.
Characters:
- Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric: Obviously, because if a doujinshi does not include the Elrics in the middle of some sort of dangerous adventure in which the new OC will get involved and probably be just as or even more important than them, it’s not cool. The description of both characters says shit we all already know, they’re looking for the Philosophers’ Stone, Ed is the Fullmetal Alchemist, Al has an armor for a body etc etc etc.
- Lust and Envy: Because it’s not fun if homunculi are not putting the OC’s life in danger so that the Elrics can save her.
“Original” Characters –DO NOT STEAL-
Ramie Foster: According to the authors, is an 18 year old girl that works at a library, in which some lady in black breaks in and then escapes (Whether she stole something or not was left unsaid.) It was because of this incident that Ramie becomes famous around the city. (Desu) Her main objective is discovering who the lady in black’s identity and what she wanted; she also has some knowledge in alchemy, but it is due to her bad memory that she can’t remember her childhood or how she got her automail…
- Any normal person can tell she is a Mary Sue, but somehow still kind of a Plain Jane, an OC whose creators couldn’t think of a creative way to make her famous in her hometown, with a traumatic childhood and automail, so she could have something that lets her relate to Ed in some way, and who will go in a journey, just like Ed, but for irrational reasons, leaving her life and job behind. (But she’s so adorable her boss won’t fire her, he’ll wait until she decides to come back because her journey is OH so very important.) Like every good FMA Mary Sue, she can perform alchemy, but just a bit, an attempt to make her less sueish, she however, has a bad memory, which is not really something that characterizes alchemists.
- Regarding her character design, it’s not necessary to be an FMA genius to realize Ramie is nothing but a mix of Rose and Ed’s bangs, Ed’s eyes and Paninya’s outfit. It’s believed that they’ve also plagiarized other FMA OCs’ characteristics. (See Ramie’s New "Design" below.)
OC improvement group (totally just for teh lulz)
These Images that doesn't deserve an own section...
.....but need to be here, seriously.........
-
Be aware they will never admit they copied FMA characters, they just "parody" them, so that's why their new story is "Completely original" 8D Please.
-
Oh, Tardylen, you're so sweet and pro.....Yeah, nobody likes White Knights......
-
Oh my, dear, you master is a White Knight too..... Why you don't hate her? D: Oh, I forgot, you were so busy kissing her ass...
-
Yeah, when you need to re-desing your sue, the best option is to copy the design of one of the many OCs paired with Ed, so your new sue will be famous....extra points if you accused this person of steal your Very original design some time before.....
-
Tardalen Paranoic Mode: Yeah, I totally see the resemblance 8D Maybe you are talking about the fact both are sues...yusss....
-
Tardalen Paranoic Mode, part 2: Again, I totally can see you're angry because this OC wears a jacket, and just Ramie, the master sue, is allowed to wear a jacket, I totally see your point.....Plus, again, we can see how much you hate White Knights.....But you still forgive your Master for being one of them 8'D.....You're a great ass sucker, keep it up! ovob
