Ser Amantio di Nicolao (Powerword: Steven Pruitt)✡ is officially one of the 25 most important people on the internet. A US Customs employee and opera fan, Pruitt has made 3 million edits to Wikipedia and singlehandedly written at least 35,000 articles, meaning that he has personally created around a third of Wikipedia's global content. And yes, he really is Jewish.
Career
Born in 1985 in San Antonio, Texas, Pruitt studied art history, and inevitably ended up with a dead-end clerical job totally unrelated to his interests. He therefore signed up to Wikipedia in 2004 and has spent the rest of his life there. There is nothing else to say about his life, because that is all he has, unless you include becoming a Wikipedia admin. As Pruitt 
told a journalist who contacted him for comment: "It’s either this [interview] or editing. Or going to the gym."
His mother has come to terms with her son's keyboard-eroding existence in the twilight of her basement, telling interviewers: "My attitude always was, 'Why do you waste all the time? Why don’t you read a book instead?' But then, I realized he’s doing something valuable and important." Well, that depends on how you view compiling a list of lesser-known artists from the Washington DC area (1796-1996), or providing personal photographs for 95% of Wikipedia's articles about National Register sites in Virginia.
Achievements
None. Apart from ending up on some listicle published by Time Magazine in 2017, which identified him as the 11th most influential person on the internet, two places below Donald Trump and several places above Kim Kardashian and Markiplier. Wikipedia's boss negress Kui Kinyanjui describes Pruitt as "incredibly important" and part of the site's "lifeblood."
