A beheading video is a video made by terrorists trying to show they are internet tough guys by chopping off the head of a poor sap. These videos are usually posted to websites of Islamic fundamentalists.
The first beheading video was of Daniel Pearl in Pakistan in 2002. The guys from that case were partyvanned because they forgot to proxy. In 2003 Nick Berg lost his head in Iraq. Many more cases of these incidents came from Iraq, with more and more westerners losing their heads.
