Terminological percipience disorder

Terminological percipience disorder (TPD) is a mental disorder characterized by emotional delusions that concern individual spoken and written words; as if they were to physically dictate purpose with nature, or in more severe cases, seem to physically result in suffering. Many that experience certain traumatic events in their past will seek out TPD to alleviate the stress (from their uncle's massive dong).

Personal pronouns are a common trait associated with TPD.

Recent studies have shown that derogatory slang words refering to a type of person tends to be more offensive and emotional to individuals (faggots) that are not actually apart of the referenced type of person. That amount clearly shows the sheer scale of TPD cases across the globe has risen dramatically. Reclaimed psychiatrist Tuong Lu Kim worries "dere may be birrions".

There are many signs associated with TPD; the presentation varies widely. Nonetheless, enough typical symptoms are known, such that psychiatrists can accurately diagnose most individuals:

Exactly what causes TPD remains unknown. While it is unlikely that it is a single cause, many risk factors identified in the research of Encyclopedia Dramatica literature may contribute to TPD development. These include genetics, prenatal and perinatal factors (meaning factors during pregnancy or very early infancy), neuroanatomical abnormalities, and newly debated internet factors. It is possible to identify general factors, but much more difficult to pinpoint specific ones. Given the current lack of knowledge, prediction can only be of a global nature and therefore requires the use of general guesses.
