Fake Schizophrenia
Fake Schizophrenia is an online phenomenon concerning the thousands of self-diagnosed bloggers, YouTube users, etc who lie about having schizophrenia for attention on the internet. As debilitating and horrifying of a condition as schizophrenia is, there is a surprisingly huge number of people willing to claim it despite being clinically "sane", usually hipsters and social justice warriors looking for a new way to take out all the pent up anger they have for their dads on themselves. When coming across someone with fake schizophrenia, one should always be sure to point out and laugh at their bullshit in order to publicly humiliate them as much as possible.
Real vs Fake Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a psychological disorder that causes the human mind to lose all sense of reality and continuously shit on itself with terrifying hallucinations and delusions. Schizophrenics live in an imaginary world dictated by their uncontrollable paranoid thoughts and perceptions, most of which are completely insane and have to do with the fact that you are Earth's last remaining hope to defeat the alien life forms that have put computer chips in everyone's head except yours and Jesus is sending you instructions through the microwave. Those with real schizophrenia legitimately believe this kind of shit and live their lives accordingly.
Those with fake schizophrenia are only concerned with giving others the impression that they have such an illness, often without any knowledge as to the real nature of the disease they're trying to front. For instance, fake schizophrenia "sufferers", like fake PTSD and fake autism spectrum cunts, will more often than not describe their "experience" in academic medical terminology (ie, "I'm experiencing auditory hallucinations", "I'm having delusions", etc.); this is an easy red flag to notice since real schizos are actually under the impression that they are the chosen son of the 8th manifestation of Jupiter and that he is causing them to see things that nobody else can see and thus they are more likely to describe their perspective in deranged, esoteric, metaphysical explanations rather than medical jargon. A related sign of fake schizophrenia is the fact that fake schizophrenics have an uncanny ability to share details about their "disorder" in long, comprehensible ways, whereas real schizophrenics often have immense difficulty staying on a single train of thought and can tell you all about the impending closing of ages, their conversations with the dukes of Hell, and the operational structure of the dolphin mafia in less than five minutes. The most telling sign however is that real schizophrenics almost never acknowledge schizophrenia as being a legitimate medical condition and cannot validate the concept of themselves being "sick" or "mentally ill", thus it is unlikely for someone who openly claims to have schizophrenia and can coherently describe its effects to actually have the disorder.

Why does this happen?
Due to political correctness, the media is often hesitant to depict mental illnesses such as schizophrenia as being as hellish and crippling as they are. Instead, schizophrenics are falsely portrayed as being eccentric, disturbed, and deeply insightful artistic types, an archetype adored by Tumblr users, emos, lame kids, and various other cunts. Having no personality or anything of interest of their own to share, these kinds of people will eventually decide that there must be a medical/psychological reason for their lack of friends and eventually decide on a mental illness that will get them the most attention for the least effort. Using online resources such as Wikipedia and the IMDB page for A Beautiful Mind, these individuals will misguidedly believe to teach themselves the art of schizophrenia.
There is also speculation that many bloggers are just misinterpreting the effects of their autism as something more severe sexy.
