Keep Calm and Carry On is a phrase originating from a series of propaganda posters issued by the British government during World War II, when that naughty Hitler was really rustling everybody's jimmies.

The posters featured the phrase in question accompanied by the crown of King George VI on a brightly colored, patriotic blue or red background and were intended to be displayed on public transport and in shop windows to boost morale should Britain ever be invaded by the Gnatsees.
