Freenode is an IRC network formerly run by the infamous fraud and huckster Rob Levin, who is currently up his own ass for eternity. He tried to convince people to donate to "help run the IRC network", then he was pwned by a bus, tank, or some other motorized object while he was riding his moped. Just like every other major IRC network, all of Freenode's servers and bandwidth are put up by volunteers. Donations never paid for any of it; they merely went to Rob's bank account.

Despite the status of Freenode's current/former overlords, the network itself is known to be the largest collective of Autism known to man. Harboring such channels as #wikipedia and #freebsd, Freenode has long been speculated as a government project to study the useless Autistic creatures in their natural environment. No actual "work" is accomplished on Freenode due to high levels of AIDS/in-drama/circle jerking amongst its permanently-logged-in chatterers.

The Wikipedia Connection

Levin was so popular with the shit-eating dorkoids who run TOW (especially Erik Moeller), after Levin got run over by a truck in 2006, they preserved his userpage forevar and evar amen. Despite being proven to be a fucking sleazoid liar, he was canonized by the magical Wikipedians. And the original channel they had been using obsessively (now called #wikipedia-en) became unclosable and untouchable. At least 100-150 Wikipedia insiders are logged in to that channel 24/7, frantically PMing each other in their usual ADHD way, and watching every peep anyone makes publicly, to keep "undesirables" out. Plus the "official" admin channel (#wikipedia-en.admins), where dirty deeds are plotted and red-hot tire irons are rammed up the anuses of ordinary WP editors. Many times, David Gerard tried to censor the existence of #wikipedia-en.admins on any and all WMF-controlled websites, and kept on failing over and over. For some years, that Glorious Lard King Jdforrester ran the Freenode WP channels, in his usual "fuck you and die" manner. Plus, Ironholds gets a big dick-kick out of harassing and threatening people on IRC.

Wikimedia now runs hundreds of channels on Freenode. Most of them are completely dead all the time but are kept open, just in case two people want to talk about the Inuit Wikipedia, or about Inuit porn. And that doesn't even cover scores of unlisted private channels, where the Aspie masturbators of WP plot to destroy their enemies/each other/themselves.

No one is permitted to use these channels to complain about or criticize any WMF project, or that ass-creampie fucker Maurizio "Snowolf" Lussetti (IN CHARGE OF EVERYTHING IRC SINCE 2011) will ban the "suppressive persons" from that channel by IP address. In fact, if Snowolf doesn't like you and knows which other channel you're using, he'll go into that channel and ban you again, then place the channel on his massive watchlist. Any accusation that Wikipedia conducts "official business" on IRC is automatically and hotly denied. Andrew "Fastlizard4" Adams took a notorious log of the main WP channel in 2005, which featured Jimbo Wales saying stupid things and Wikipedians lining up to kiss his ass and tell him what a funny guy he was (and really wasn't).

The shit on IRC routinely boils over onto Wikipedia noticeboards. A 2007 arbitration was started by "good contributor" Giano because Tony Sidaway said something totally awful about him. As usual, the Arbcom cum-eaters spanked Giano gently. He kept complaining, and massive walls of lulz were constructed around him. Forrester the Fat Fucker tried to make all of that crap disappear, and was reverted. Another moron argument happened later in 2008. Even SlimVirgin was desysopped in 2009 over petty fuckhead IRC squabbling. If a bureaucratic fuck wants someone banned or something deleted, he need only post it on the admin channel and it'll happen.

Despite it being an "awful and banworthy crime" to take logs of Wikipedia channels, it happens routinely. GNAA occasionally crapflooded the WP channels and had hundreds of captures of the main WP channel on their website, but they were taken down thanks to legal threats from the WMF. Hipcrime put them on a private blog, the WMF sent him a nasty letter, and he took them down again. Why Freenode Sucks

Freenode is incompetently run and that is why it has been taken over by the GNAA and Bantown over and over again. Some quick comparisons of other networks to Freenode:

OFTC is another IRC network aimed at open source developers. It has not once had Rob Levin shut down the channel of an open source project in a megalomaniacal frenzy.
EFnet handles three times the userbase of freenode with no major incident.
Undernet has all the channel and hostmask services of freenode with a laissez-faire attitude.

Freenode users should move somewhere else and let Rob Levin's fat wife buy her own quarter-million dollar RV.

Freenode staff had autok-line set for nick "encoded" only because this poor guy appeared with his joke in the wrong place, at the same time Christel, freenode ircop, known of her inability of controlling own urges, was in a bad mood. It wasn't even his fault she got pregnant and was so picky about it. Unprofessional ircops should be limited to kitchen area.
