PUBG: Battlegrounds
PUBG: Battlegrounds (A.K.A. "Walking Simulator 2017"; formerly known as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) is a high-stakes, multiplayer "Looting & Dying" simulator developed by Krafton.
It is best known for its revolutionary approach to gaming: making players spend 20 minutes looking for a backpack, only to be shot in the back of the head by a guy hiding in a bathroom with a double-barrel shotgun.
The Premise: Murder for Poultry.
The goal is simple: 100 people are thrown out of a cargo plane with nothing but their underwear and a prayer. You land on an island, scavenge for rusted Soviet-era weaponry, and try to stay inside a shrinking blue circle that smells like electricity and death. The last person standing is awarded a virtual chicken dinner, which has zero nutritional value and will not satisfy the hunger you've developed during the 40-minute match.
