Velma

This image basically sums up the entire mood of the show.

"Velma" is a modern Scooby-Doo spin-off starring Velma, except now she’s an insufferable curry-negress preaching about white devils and male privilege. Furthermore, Velma is a self-insert for her voice actor, Mindy Kaling^💩, who loves to rip on her critics and audience with smug, preachy, cynical humor and meta-commentary while treating the show like a left-wing webcomic artist would writing yet another long-winded social justice rant disguised as a cartoon. The way she tries to corrupt the original IP so that it can be formed into her own vision actually makes her quite akin to Satan. Aside from being race-swapped, Velma is even further detached from her original character by having her personality changed into a snarky, mean-spirited bitch who is constantly judging people for the most minute reasons (including her fans and audience) despite being literally no better than anybody else—probably yet another character trait taken from her real-life counterpart. The show advertises itself as an “adult comedy” buts its severely lacking in the latter and the only thing adult about it is its shoddy socio-political themes and blood.

Race Swapping

Family Guy did it better.

• Velma: race swapped into a South Asian because her voice actress is one. Despite always picking on rich white men, she has a major fetish for them; yet another thing her voice actress shares in common with her.
• Daphne: race swapped into an East Asian because her voice actress is one. At least she’s still hot, unlike Velma, but is also secretly a dyke for her.
• Fred: The only character that wasn’t race swapped but only so the cast would have a punching bag for rich white men with—omg! Get this: a micropenis. ROFL XD how could they come up with this!?
• Shaggy: race swapped into a nigger and goes by the name Norville. Wouldn’t be surprised if some people thought this was supposed to be a completely different character because of that.
• Scooby-Doo: HE’S NOT EVEN FUCKING IN IT!!!!!

Plot

The show is set before the Mystery Gang was formed while the characters are in high school, so naturally it opens up with a nude shower room scene with many-a busty high school girls. Anyways, several of the school’s hottest babes end up getting murdered with their brains scooped out by a mysterious serial killer on the lose. Naturally, since Velma is such a mega ultra super genius just like Mindy Kaling in real life, she alone seeks out the clues to solve this case. Unfortunately, the plot line is primarily dedicated to having the characters antagonizing each other (mostly by Velma), engaging in petty high school drama and a shitty lgbt “love quadrangle” or making snarky remarks about social justice and straight white men. Like seriously, the social remarks are obsessive and the script sounds like it was written by a bunch of whiny Tumblrinas.
