On Sep. 20th, 2019, Area 51 came under siege by an army of the internet's most fearsome warriors. Storm Area 51 was an epic IRL operation engaged in primarily by weebs and hipsters with the intent to zerg rush the United States' most covert and secretive military base in order to save their alien captives and clap their cheeks. The event was first alluded to on Facebook by a narutard named Matty Roberts, which remains one of the only good things to come out of Facebook other than the Christchurch Mosque Massacre. The event seemingly became a viral meme overnight and received 2 million pledges of attendance. The military and the old media, unlearned in the art of shitposting, mistook these memes' notoriety as serious business and a legitimate potential threat. On the day that be however, hordes of naruto sprinters were unfortunately not gunned down and only about 150 people showed up to the front gates of Area 51 and only one of them attempted to enter the facility for which she received a warning.
Preluding
Counting up to the day of the raid, an estimated one thousand and a half people camped out in the vicinity in addition to the aforementioned 150 who showed up to the gates, which is a higher number of people than there are residents in the two nearby cities combined. Needless to say, there wasn't enough accommodations for everyone, let alone 2 million. Stormers took these additional days to practice their Naruto sprinting, cosplay in dollarbin alien costumes and proliferate a dead meme. Two music festivals were set up to coincide with the event, including Alienstock and Storm Area 51 Basecamp respectively. They were both super lame and gay.
