Burt Reynolds
Burt Reynolds Burton Leon Reynolds Jr. (February 11, 1936 - September 6, 2018) was a man among men capable of even making the Fagstash of the late 70's and early1980s, that was worn by people like Freddy Mercury and the biker dude from The Village People, masculine. If not for him, the 1977 Pontiac Trans-Am Firebird, or more popularly known as the Screaming Chicken because of the decal on the hood, would not be an iconic American car thanks to his Smokey and the Bandit movies.
Although he may have been born in Lansing, Michigan, this can be easily forgiven because he played fullback up until his Sophomore year, for Florida State University.
He is probably best known for his Smokey and the Bandit Series, Deliverance, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Gator Series, Boogie Nights and being an influence for the character of Sterling Archer in the Archer Series. Also, he was the first male centerfold and a fuckin hawt one at that. He will be missed because for some of us, he was our textbook example of what it means to be a man.
Burt Reynolds Movies Worth Seeing
.Name | Description | picture |
---|---|---|
Boogie Nights | Probably the best movie in Burt's repertoire that proves that he was a talented actor worthy of being in film. In Boogie Knights Burt plays a porn director during the rise and decline of Theatrical Porn where the movies played in theaters and had plots like Deep Throat. The movie shows him as an artist committed to the motion picture at the heyday of video where, because it wasn't really for public consumption and was seen only in the home, could be as raw as the director or producer wanted it to be so long as it didn't break obscenity laws like using children or animals or what most people would call your porn collection. | |
Deliverance | The movie that made everyone afraid of banjos and Georgia. Outside of the initial shock value of seeing Ned Beatty get ass fucked by a toothless hillbilly and the dueling banjos scene it is a solid movie that shows that even Americans can be strangers in a strange land within the borders of their own country. Starting off as a buddy film, the movie shows that some places, Georgia, should be kept as far away from as possible | |
Smokey And The Bandit
|
Probably one of the most iconic car movies in American, hell, world history because it spawned a whole new genre of movies where the car itself is the character and only meant to go fast in movies like Mad Max, The Blues Brothers, The Cannonball Run, Convoy, and The Road Warrior along with making the 1976 Trans-Am Screaming Chicken an icon in American car history. The whole idea of the movie is one long chase where we want the anti-villain (Bandit) to get away with his crime because of oppressive laws and lawmen that take their job way to seriously. |

The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas | One of Burt's more underrated films. In it he plays the sheriff of a town where a house of ill repute has existed for decades until it becomes the topic of a shock-TV news program. As the sheriff, he has to play both sides where the slut shack helps support their town by bringing in money and the fact that it is illegal and the consensus is to shut it down despite no-one having ever heard of this prostitute pavilion until a day or two ago. In essence it is a satirical representation of politics and news where the people know nothing about anything until the news shows it to them in easy to digest clips and soundbites then the government has to decide on what to do based on the people's misconstrued opinions. | |
The Longest Yard | If you even thought of the Adam Sandler✡ version first or at all, you're a fag. This is another one like Smokey and the Bandit where a professional football player gets sent to prison for smacking his bitch up and stealing her car. While there, the warden convinces him to start a football team consisting of cons so he can test his Correctional Officer team against them. What it breaks down to is does Burt Reynold's character stay true to himself and the friends he made in prison or keep up with his old habits of skimming points and letting the CO team win? |
