• [[File:File.png|200px|thumb|left|alt text]] to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with 'alt text' as description
• [[Media:File.ogg]] for directly linking to the file without displaying the file page

• DON'T UPLOAD FILES STRAIGHT FROM *CHAN WITH NAMES LIKE 1234567890.JPG
  GIVE THEM MEANINGFUL NAMES SO THEY CAN BE INDEXED BY JEWGLE IMAGES

• Don't be stupid and upload kiddie porn or bestiality, we will waste no time in banning your sick fuck ass.
• ED is not an image or video hosting service. If the file you are uploading isn't for an article or your userspace, use Catbox or a similar service instead.
• Note to EDitors/Admins: When uploading a new version of an image over a pre-existing one, you gotta give the cache a little time to fully overwrite it. In other words, the new version might look fucked up for a bit, but it'll eventually fix itself, so don't keep reuploading over it.
