Ways to Help
If you have free time and would like to help out, here's a list of things that can be done:

  • Check the Needed page. This is a list of articles we would like to see and information we'd like to find.
  • Check the list of wanted articles. This is automatically generated when two or more pages contain links to a page that doesn't yet exist.
  • Categorize articles. We have a list of existing categories and a list of uncategorized articles. To add an article to a category, click that page's edit link and at the bottom of the entry, type [[Category: Category Name]] (Where "Category Name" is the relevant approved, existing category) and click "Save Page". e-points if you mention what categories you added in the summary box.
  • Expand on stubs – view Stub
  • Rewrite crappy articles – view Crap
  • Add images to articles – view Upload
  • Eliminate dead-end pages by adding links to other articles - view Deadendpages
  • Review {{opentasks}} to see if there is anything else that needs to be done.
  • Use ED:Suggestions to suggest Vidyas, Pix and Quotes of the Now.

The article on Austria needs a cleanup

... and I maded one at home: User talk:AnonymousBosch. Contemporary internet lulz are absent for such a retarded country, but fortunately, Austria has a fairly lulzy history, jew-hating politicians and moar crazies like Josef Fritzl. I tried to make the article more accurate and less confusing than the current one (here: Austria). I'll add more references tomorrow, because otherwise future readers might think that I pulled all that content out of my ass (the current article on Austria definetely needs more citation.)

A better way to combat wikispam from spambots

I just noticed a pattern in spambot usernames:


all spambot usernames are usually made up of random characters or nonexistent words or giberish and are usually 8 or 7 characters long. I developed this strategy. We should have a policy (for extra security) that whenever people create usernames that are similar to these (see pictures below), we should ban them on the spot, this way they would be banned before they can even post any spam. Sounds good?

American Government Shutting down over frivious GOP moral issues. Porn being one of them.

Forty-two United States Senators, most of them Republican and a very small group of Democrats, have signed a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder demanding more prosecutions over adult pornography via the "vigorous" enforcement of federal obscenity laws. Other bullshit that the Republican Party is shutting down the government includes:

  • Funding for Planned Parenthood to prevent the spread of inbred rednecks that could potentially become president.
  • The Federal Budget. (If you've been to DeathAndTaxesPoster.com, most of the BAWWWING is over the very small circles on the poster. The rest of it is moral bullshit that has nothing to do with the budget.)
  • The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) dislike and Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT) repealing.
  • The New Healthcare System going into effect, and being successful.
  • Paychecks for U.S. troops fighting overseas and getting shot at.
  • The President is Black.
  • Funding wildfire control needed for the U.S. Forest Service.
  • Leeroy and Sheniqua getting their welfare checks.
  • A lack of understanding of how government works by the Tea Party retards in office.
  • Those "union bullies" in Wisconsin.
  • The President is Black.
  • Grandpa not being dead yet and still collecting social security. That old freeloading bastard!
  • Environmental protection laws and radiation monitoring by the Environmental Protection Agency.
