Armake21

I'm trying to recompile the Armake21 page ATM (one that the original ED pulled before when they turned into total pussies). But I noticed you uploaded his animated gif. Have you uploaded any more at all that I can use to re-create it?--DeathByCrunch 05:46, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

I want to have sex with you

You are fucking amazing. Thanks for restoring so many images. ConfœderatioHelvetica 09:51, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Why are you uploading Thumbs with the "px-" Names? Without the {{FullImageWanted}}-Template? --Blob 11:47, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

  • They should be failing. But they're not :|

CSS and image thumbnails

I'm not sure who to speak to about CSS changes, but you've seen to be the one concerned with images. I've been noticing problems with the content boxes around image thumbnails. Look at the image featured in the "Selected article" section of Portal:Gaming. The MediaWiki people gave the "thumb" class a non-transparent border in order to prevent the border-bottom of headlines (eg h2) from appearing behind the image, but that creates its own problems as seen on the Gaming Portal.

I believe that the best way to fix the problem is to replace border-color with background-color, replace border-width with padding, and to set the background-color to inherit. Try replacing the following on Monobook's CSS:

div.thumb {
	margin-bottom: .5em;
	border-style: solid;
	border-color: #F3F3F3;
	width: auto;
}
div.tright {
	clear: right;
	float: right;
	border-width: .5em 0 .8em 1.4em;
}
div.tleft {
	float: left;
	clear: left;
	margin-right: .5em;
	border-width: .5em 1.4em .8em 0;
}

with these:

div.thumb {
	margin-bottom: .5em;
	background-color: inherit;
	width: auto;
}
div.tright {
	clear: right;
	float: right;
	padding: .5em 0 .8em 1.4em;
}
div.tleft {
	float: left;
	clear: left;
	margin-right: .5em;
	padding: .5em 1.4em .8em 0;
}

automated stuff

Hey, did you finish your upload or did you stop it midway? Also, are there going to be any images left on the wanted files page when you're done? I'm wondering if I should keep running my google cache harvesting thingy or if filling in all those captchas is just a waste of time.
ps That's one epic upload you got there sir Armucat 02:36, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

  • Good question, It finished, but there's a bunch of thumbnails that exist that have no full version, and there's also a bunch of full images that can overwrite the ones that you've uploaded. I'm just too lazy at the moment to finish writing and run both of those scripts. I'd stop running your script till tomorrow, by then I'll have ran both of the scripts. --e 16:22, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Maybe it was just cache fuckery... TKN 19:09, 25 July 2011 (CEST)
And action=purge appears not to be working anymore.. TKN 00:49, 26 July 2011 (CEST)
It should still be working!!
It's just the cache. No big deal. 00:58, 26 July 2011 (CEST)
It isn't working. The cache of page is no longer baleeted. When you remove action=purge from url, it still shows old version TKN 16:32, 26 July 2011 (CEST)
Can you make it so logged in users dont see cached shit? TKN 22:14, 27 July 2011 (CEST)

Need that framework for the ragtek add-ons to work, then I drop-boxed the files so you don't have to make accounts on a bunch of sites.

All youtube videos are at the old 4:3 resolution

Youtube switched to 640 x 360 and most of their content is at that resolution

And all the new videos are squashed vertically ProgrammerTroll 00:16, 31 August 2011 (CEST)

Don't use <youtube></youtube> tags, use: <video type="youtube" id="6SEOguApssc" width="640" height="360" frame="true" position="center"/>
