Encyclopedia Dramatica:Sysop Bulletin Board
This page was to request help from a sysop or ask questions. These help requests and questions are now posted at the Thizzlehat Junction Center instead, and this page serves only as an archive. |
Please post what you need help with then sign your post at the TJC. REMEMBER TO START A NEW SECTION DUMBASS
If all else fails you can reach a sysop via their talk pages, or via IRC.
Of the Nao thingies... suggestion to improve them
I have notice that the OTN section is suffering either from lack of suggestions or crappy selection. I suggest a section where users can suggest the pic /article / quote / vidya. Suggestions will be submitted and only a sysop can select the best option. IMO, that way there will always be an influx of new pics and articles, and users will feel more in control of their lulz. Being honest, lately we had passed days with fucking crap as POTN, or AOTN, specially since those articles sit on main page, they are important and must remain fresh and accurate on THE NAO. Just an honest suggestion from a guy who loves this place and wish it to be back in all its glory.
Forgot to mention: i know suggestions are being put on the TJC, but tbh try to navigate into that fucking mess, it can be more organized, like it was before, when there was a section for suggestions of each, pic, article, etc.
- The talk pages for AOTN, POTN, etc is where everything is suggested. But yes, we should feature more articles than just old memes. 04:58, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
- I, for one, vote to periodically clean the hueg pages from very old suggestions, making it easier to go through that crap. Maybe put them in Pagename/Archive,page1-2-etc if somebody wants to store them for historical purposes. --Gseed 07:42, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
main.css
Please put up the classic main.css, as the new one sucks rocks dry (e.g. the galleries don't have any outline). Muchas gracias. --Gseed 18:55, 29 July 2011 (CEST)
- Added gallery css TKN 19:04, 29 July 2011 (CEST)

Peace Treaty
Hello, I am a user from wikipedia that has read your wiki and I am here to make a peace treaty. I personally think that ED is funny, humorous, and timley but some of the information is harmful to wikipedians. I am not a lawfag, just a peace maker
--Thebirdlover 13:54, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay... (AN/I) TKN 13:58, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- We normally won't accept anything less than unconditional surrender, but we're willing to make an exception. Here's are our demands. --JuniusThaddeus 14:04, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

- Fine with me. However unlike Wikipedia, which is driven and heavily regulated by staff imposed policy, Encyclopedia Dramatica is a community driven contributed website. Staff doesn't regulate the content, the users do. You are going to have to speak to the editors in the users user group and convince them en mass. If we just imposed a policy saying that users are allowed to write about everyone on the internet except for Wikipedia it would not go over well, not to mention would be against everything our site was founded on. The content isn't meant to be harmful, it is comparable to any published tabloid, except the articles focus on Internet personalities rather than public ones, this is accompanied with biting satire and a healthy dose of dick jokes and has created a very popular platform for expression and information concerning the Internet's most interesting inner circles. Personal information that is not already readily available through a simple Google search is not allowed, that is one of our few rules and it should be strongly enforced. I wish you luck convincing the entire user base to stop being mean to Wikipedia. The Internet will be a much better place shall you succeed.
- Also I have no idea who Pweehurman is, we have a lot of users who misrepresent ED as a trolling organization, It is not. These individuals do not represent Encyclopedia Dramatica no matter how many times they tell you they do. -zaiger (talk) 14:22, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Peeehurman is not from ED. But please add this to the demands:
I've heard of him. Isn't he an admin? --Wikipedian Ambassador 14:41, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- No, he hasn't been a sysop since December 2006. --JuniusThaddeus 15:09, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Someone just rejected it. Do you know who that guy is
- It disappeared off ANI quite fast... TKN 14:48, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Would somebody please make those godforsaken thumbnailed gifs display and animate properly. I mean fuck. --Gseed 21:52, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- Problem's already known. Bringing it up in sysop chan now TKN 21:53, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- Has something to do with the caching of the images, probably won't be fixed. --zaiger (talk) 21:45, 13 September 2011 (CEST)
- there is a workaround. you can delete and then restore the image... just make sure to clear your browser's cache (or use a virginal browser) before verifying. -hipcrime 21:50, 13 September 2011 (CEST)
- They should animate properly. TKN
- They do not animate when resized. Other, lesser wikis have animated resized .gifs, why not us?---brxbrx 03:52, 19 September 2011 (CEST)
- theyre animated. party hard looks awesome again. -hipcrime 05:43, 19 September 2011 (CEST)

Do we even still use this crap instead of the TJC? --Andrés (talkplx) 18:45, 15 October 2012 (EDT)
Welp, based on the fact that the last modification to this page was made over a year ago, I'd say it isn't. --Gseed 11:58, 16 October 2012 (EDT)
Captcha crapola
Trying to edit a couple of pages. Every time I complete the captcha, I get a 'could not open socket' message and lose my edits. Been a couple of days now. What gives? Any ideas? (awaits inevitable 'LOLN00b' responses...) SidecarSidecar 17:53, 7 February 2014 (EST) (hope that sig works)
New pages (uncategorised)
Me again. Sorry about this, but I forgot the relevant rules and have created some new pages without going through the correct procedure. Those pages are therefore currently uncategorised and need "filing" by one of you awesome uber-beings.
They are:
- Operation: Yewtree (subpage of Jimmy Savile)
- Operation Fairbridge (ditto)
- William Hague (not ditto)
Sorry again. I'll do it right in future, promise. (PS: Could you edit out that annoying and unnecessary colon in "Operation: Yewtree" pls?) Sidecar 07:35, 25 February 2014 (EST)
