The Oscars saw it as an opportunity to boost ratings of desperate viewers, and pulled an epic troll by giving Will Smith the Oscar and caused more butthurt. History
Along time a go, Will Smith and Chris Rock lived in harmony appearing together on in the unfunny overrated glorified advertisement for Will Smith's rapping career "The Fresh Prince Bell Air" in an episode were he played two characters, one of them Will Smith dated was actually a man. At the 1998 Grammy's Will Smith continues his homosexual relationship with Chris Rock after hugging him after he created him the award for his Men and Black song.

It all started when Chris Rock went up on stage after publicly roasting Jada in the 2016 Oscars to prove how much of a leech she is. Will Smith being the dumbass he is didn't knew that he and everybody else would of forgotten about it in less than second, and did the only thing that would give Chris Rock an epic win bigger than winning an Oscar. After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, Will Smith was praying to god himself he wouldn't loose his award, gave a bullshit speech about how to he was fighting for peace, even Oscars only cause rage to begin with by being a waste of time. Some argue Will Smith should of lost his award due the slap being considered violence. However it is a widely known for years the Oscars is run by jews being payed to advertise Disney through ABC, and would want another event like this to make people watch the Oscars. It's a heated debate If Will Smith or Chris Rock are in the wrong. The truth is obvious, Chris Rock was pussy for not saying the truth earlier while Will Smith is white knighting Jada Pinkett Smith's ass.
Finally in the end Will Smith came out with another Half Asses apology obviously written by his corporate PR worried If his career dies they would be in poverty. None of this worked as while Chris Rock was to dumb to see this situation has finical opportunity to give him the most amount of income in years by charging Will Smith. Will Smith has become an internet meme while being under attack from the internet hate machine. The Oscars wanted their last bit of relevance by banning Will Smith from the Oscars for 10 years.
