Overpriced DLCs, whiny community, hacker infested but still better than your average overhyped AAA eyecandy

Payday 2 is a video game DLC game released by the greedy Swedish jews of Overkill Software on 2013. It is the sequel of Payday: The Heist, a co-op FPS game that not many people cared about.

In Payday 2, you and 3 of your friends (lol you don’t have any) players play as a group of 4 clown robbers, robbing banks, cooking meth, throwing bags, steal stuff, throwing more bags and you are given the choice of doing your missions either loudly or in a RNG-based stealth style buying overpriced DLCs every week and waiting for drills to open doors/cars to arrive/computers to get hacked/paint on the walls to dry out.

Meanwhile Almir is staring at your wallet.

The game

The game is notorious for being ridiculously easy to hack, even for script kiddies

Payday 2 is a co-op FPS game. 4 players go to some places rob shit or something. Despite having robbed thousands and thousands of banks, they can't afford better drills that don't jam every 6 seconds. The game is also very easy to hack and the community is beyond cancerous.

The game is also notorious to be a buggy pile of shite. From desync issues, questionable AI, weapons that don't work the way they are intended, collision issues, etc. It takes Overkill weeks and even months to fix bugs that look so simple. But if the bug in question allows players to use DLC weapons they haven't paid for they will fix this in seconds.

But none of this matters, since the whole game is about buying DLCs so you can have a slight better chance of completing heists on the Death Wish difficulty.

Oh and theres also a "career mode" which is just all the heist in the game in order, under a disguise of a "storyline".

DLC

Overkill seriously expects their players to buy 'em all

The game and its developers quickly got notorious for its horrible DLC practices. It is to be expected since a good part of Overkill are EA veterans. They feel it is a perfectly normal industry practice to pull a weapon pack out of their asses nearly 2 or 3 weeks. And also selling stuff as DLC that are mandatory already in the base game in most FPSs. Grenades in Payday 2 are sold as DLC, yes you read that correctly. But you don't need to spend 5 bucks on them, they suck.

Of course Overkill always feel the need to remind their community we are an independent company we need your monies. Too bad their community can't realize that Payday 2 is indeed a independent game but got AAA sales. Jewberkill are far from starving or getting bankrupt.

Characters

Heisters:

Dallas: The leader of the Gayday gang, despite his name he's not from Texas, instead he's from Chicago. Badass voice actor, but that ain't saying much.

Wolf: Swedish psychopath prick who is either calm or scream batshit insane. Kinda annoying at times but a player favourite. His voice actor left, so Overkill was forced to sentence-mix old Wolf voicelines to make ones based around a new enemy type. Needless to say, the sounds didn't come out well.

Chains: Ex-Marine nigger. Not much to say about him. DIS BROKE DICK PIECE OF SHIT DRILL!!

Hoxton Houston: Dallas’ little brother. Joined the gang after britfag Hoxton landed in jail and the rest of the gang were too pussied out to give him a hand. Bad voice actor and generaly hated by everyone. After Overkill decided to cave in and bring Hoxton back, no one plays as Houston anymore.

John Wick: JOHN WICK COMING TO THEATRES OCTOBER 24 2014.

Hoxton: Britfag of the gang. Originally wasn’t in Payday 2 but players hated Dallas’ lil bro so much they begged Overkill to bring him back in the game. Still butthurt after 2 Years of slavery in jail.

Clover (DLC): Hoxton’s protégée. Added because players had enough of gay Payday 2 R34. Pissed off SJWs and feminazis because she is a paid female character, but Overkill is willing to do anything to get as much Jew Gold as possible.

Dragan (DLC): The Butcher's sex slave. Basically Dallas with a Croatian accent, because Overkill failed so hard to find an actual croatian voice actor who can't speak Engrish.

Jacket (DLC): The silent protagonist of the Hotline Miami series joins the gang in the form of a cross-promotion à la John Wick, but this time players love him. He communicates with a tape-recorder. Since Hotline Miami 2 is banned in Australia, everyone else but them can play as him. Fun to play as, but you'll never get the chance to, since someone else in the lobby will have taken him already.

Bonnie: Fat fucking dyke who hails from Scotland & Hoxton's old fuckbuddy from prison, despite being fat she runs as fast as the rest of the gang and is still able to sneak around and dodge bullets. Only loved because of her FUCKING OVERPOWERED shotgun that can literally be used as a sniper rifle.

Sokol (DLC): Russian hockey player who decided to join the gang because......... who the fuck knows why. Overkill just want your money anyway. Apparently being a hockey player gives you a healing factor.

Jiro (DLC): After the Gage Ninja Pack DLC, Overkill want to appeal to weeaboos even more by giving them a japanese Yakuza who speak japenese and only japenese. Perhaps he is the only character Overkill put some effort in his backstory.

Bodhi: Some surfing heister dude who joined the gang because Overjew signed another action movie advertisement. At least he brought a free sniper rifle with him.

Jimmy: Yet another walking action movie ad, this time in the form of a coked-up weirdo with no inside voice whose entire personality is 'Drugs'. Probably has a bunch of kiddie porn stashed on a USB drive in his basement.

Sydney (DLC): Aussie cunt with dyed hair. Almost universally hated by the fanbase, to the point that there are several popular soundmods that remove all of her voice lines entirely. Bought purely because her Anarchist perk deck breaks the game in half.

Rust (DLC): 61-year-old that thinks swearing all the time makes him cool. Makes sweet, sweet love to his motorcycle every night. In other words, he's literally just Ron Perlman.

Duke: Bland character that only exists because Oyveykill wanted to release another non-DLC heister to shut the forums up.

Sangres: Some illegal alien (literally) that Bain founds in the Tijuana crossing, Likes to talk all about Mexican shit being a beaner scum he is and wears nothing but Aloha shirts sewn by the hands of a Chinese sweatshop worker.

Scarface (DLC): Yet another crossover character, this time from an 80's film nobody but a /tv/fag would care about, as of 2020, his character pack is no longer available to purchase so lol, NVM you still can unlock him via the Payday 2 legacy collection.

Joy: A "gamer" in case if you couldn't tell from her le epic gamer shirt, solely exist because the community is getting tired jacking off to R34's of Sydney or Clover.

Ethan & Hila (DLC): Yes, you heard right. Overshill was so desperate for crossover deals that they reached out to youtube personalities (And not even good ones). Since the voice-acting of both characters is horrible, and their perk deck is next-to-useless, The only real reason for anyone to buy this is just 'lol! youtuber so funny!'. If someone joins your lobby playing as one of these, do everyone a favor and just kick them.

Contractors:

Hector's corpse, after being gang-raped to death by the gang in Hoxton Revenge

Bain: The mastermind behind Crime.net. The gang never met him in real-life, probably because Bain is safely hidden from the law in his mom's basement. UPDATE: Bain was recently v&, and his status is currently unknown.

Vlad: Annoying Ukrainian prick. His jobs are loud and rarely involve stealth. HE'S ON RISE LIKE A FUCKIN' SPUTNIK!

Hector: Colombian drug lord. He uses the gang as his personal army on his war against the Mendozas. He ratted britfag Hoxton to avoid jail.

The Elephant: Corrupt politician who uses the gang for his personal agenda, like stealing a fusion engine and rigging elections.

The Dentist: Some guy nobody knows anything about that sends the gang to do big complex heists. His heists are arguably the best of the game, too bad he backstabs you by selling out Bain to Murkywater.

The Butcher: Croatian arms dealer. Her first job consisted of sending the gang to steal a nuclear bomb.

Locke: Commander Shepherd from Modern Warfare 2 rose from the dead, and brought with him heists that feel pretty much like your average Call of Duty single player mission

Jiu Feng: Ex triad Chink who also only uses the gang for his personal agendas, also Joy's ex if that amounts to anything.

Charon/The Continental: Part of John wick's DLC, Don't get your hopes up, He only gives you two heist.

Gemma McShay: Some Texan Hick who runs a human trafficking ring, nothing else to say, But at least her DLC pack came with a tons of new weapons! Nevermind they're all shit.

Others:

Aldstone: Hoxton's Butler that he bought all the way from Bongistan. doesn't do much besides roaming around in your safe house and talking to the paintings there.

Gage: The gang's main arm supplier. served on the Afghan war, which is also the reason why he's crippled in the first place, Words on the streets that he got shot by one of his men while looting a body of one of his dead comrade.

Solomon Garett: Minor Villain appearing on a few missions, you would a expect a guy with a Jewish name would've been the super secret mastermind bad guy of the game, just like in real life, but no we got some nigger who larps as a dentist instead.

Heists

Go to some places, rob stuff or sabotage stuff. There are 5 difficulties 7 difficulties now :

Normal: If you manage to fail on this you're retarded.

Hard: Very easy.

Very Hard: Easy.

Overkill: Normal.

Mayhem: Autistic brother between Overkill and Death Wish as Overjew said.

Death Wish: Butt-raping hard. Nearly impossible to complete loudly unless you have one or two DLC weapons.

Death Sentence: Since Overjew can't do anything more than jack up enemy spawn rate , increase health and damage instead of giving them new attacks, this is more of a pain in the ass than Death Wish. Due to the bow being buffed, Death Sentence Meta was born. People have to buy Gage Chivalry Pack if they wanna win on this difficulty.

Free Heists

Hoxton Breakout is the most played heist in the game

Jewelry Store: Snatch and grab jewelry and stones like candy.

Ukrainian Job: Same as above but snatch and grab a tiara.

Diamond Store: Same as Jewelry Store, but slightly bigger.

Four Stores: Rob convenience stores.

Nightclub: Enter a Russian mob-owned nightclub to steal money from a safe. Boring.

Mallcrasher: Enter a mall and ignite a chimp-out. The least played heist of the game, needless to say.

Bank Heist (and its 2140923 different variants): GUYS, THE THERMAL DRILL. GO GET IT.

Watchdogs: Protect a coke shipment from the cops. Mainly played because of its high payout.

Firestarter: Steal guns from an airport, infiltrate a FBI office to steal a server or some shit and rob a bank exactly like the Bank Heist and its variants.

Rats: The most overplayed heist when the game was released. Once had a ridiculously high amount of XP and money payout, everyone farmed this mission to death until Overkill decided to nerf it to the point it’s not even worth playing anymore.

Framing Frame: One of the main stealth heists. Entirely RNG based. Fun only when you’re playing with friends because pubs will always manage to fuck shit up somehow.

Big Oil: You're sent to steal a prototype engine using environmental clues, but it'll actually just be a game of trial-and-error because you're too stupid to be able to figure out which engine is the correct one.

GO Bank: Same as Bank Heist but with a different twist. Not played much.

Erection Day: Rig mayoral elections with either stealth or full force. One of the best heist of the game.

Shadow Raid: Infiltrate a mercenary-owned warehouse to steal random knick-knacks and samurai armor. Ruined because of RNG stealth system. Once failed, you'll get an instant kick from the butthurt host, even if you didn't cause it.

Hoxton Breakout: Free britfag Hoxton from the clutches of Big Brother. Only played because of the big motherfucking high payout of XP and money.

White Xmas: Vlad's drunk inbred cousin crashed a plane full of coke in the woods. Save his ass and as much coke as possible falling from the sky in xmas present boxes.

Cook Off: After Jewberkill managed to collect enough money from the fans during the Hype Train Event, they've been really lazy to make new maps for free content, so instead they just took the Rats heist and make it into a 1 day heist. They must be high doing this while making some meth in their company.

Car Shop: 2 years and a half after the game's release, Overkill decided to add a new gameplay mechanic: Drivable cars! For some weird reasons they thought that making a proof-of-concept heist involving drivable cars completable only in stealth was a good idea.

Hoxton Revenge: The gang infiltrates a FBI guarded house to learn that Hector was the one who ratted britfag Hoxton. They proceed to take turns raping him to death and leave the place along with any incriminating evidence,

Meltdown: Enter the same big warehouse you already robbed in Shadow Raid to steal nuclear missiles for Vlad. The best feature of this heist are drivable forklifts, which can lead to a big lulzfest when playing with friends (if only you had any).

Aftershock: A massive earthquake destroyed most of the roads and buildings in Los angeles, the entire city is in chaos and the population is in desperate need of help but the local Police force are too busy fighting the gang stealing safes for whatever reason for Vlad.

First World Bank: The best only good heist from Payday 1 is back. Not as much fun like in the original game but still good.

Slaughterhouse: Of all the memorable heists from Payday 1 they had to bring back the worst of them

Lab Rats: DONACDUM

Santa's Workshop: Protect Vlad's Christmas elves as they pack coke in Christmas presents, sounds silly but this one is challenging

DLC Heists

Armored Transport: 5 heists with the same goal, intercept armored trucks and loot them. XP and money payout is not big enough to make those heists worth playing.

The Big Bank: Arguably the best heist of the game with tons of replay value. Robbing a big federal bank, Hollywood style. Stealthing this one is super hard and boring since its all RNG-based.

Hotline Miami: Kill a bunch of Russian mobsters. That’s it. Only worth buying for the SMGs included.

The Diamond: Diamonds are woman's best friend. Same as Framing Frame but worse.

The Bomb: 2 heists where you steal a bomb from mercenaries. Very cool.

The Alesso Heist: The gang enter a arena owned by the security company they have been screwing around since the first game, don't ask me why they put high-security vaults in a arena. Blow up a hole under the vaults and steal the monies while boring, repetitive electronic music by Alesso plays in the background.

Golden Grin Casino: You go to a big, nah, a small casino in Las Vegas. Use a BIG FUCKING DRILL plasma cutter to dig your way into a vault to steal the Ark of the Covenant for The Dentist. Alternatively, you can choose to be useless and spend the entire game playing with slot machines in the lobby while your teammates do all the work.

Beneath the Mountain: Storm into a military complex in the mountains stealing loot. Plays exactly like a Call of Duty single player mission.

Birth of Sky: Same as above.

Weapons

More than half of all the weapons in the game are locked behind a heavy DLC price tag. None of them are worth it, hack 'em away. We won’t bother talking about melee weapons cuz they all suck.

  • AMCAR: Starter weapon. Complete shit. Get rid of it as soon as you can.
  • AK: Only worth using until you unlock the superior AK.762
  • CAR-4: The most overused weapon in the game. You can either mod it to be stealthy or combat oriented. Decent damage, ammo pool, precision and stability, you can’t go wrong with this gun.
  • UAR: One of the few non-DLC weapon that is Death Wish viable
  • AK.762: Upgraded AK now with decent damage but a bit less ammo.
  • JP36: Quirky assault rifle. Mainly used for camping because of its high ammo pool.
  • M308: The free ‘’sniper rifle’’. High damage and very useful if you know how to aim. Nobody really uses it anymore since the Sniper DLC came out.
  • AK5: Generic assault rifle used by nobody.
  • AMR-16: CAR-4 with less ammo but more damage, CAR fags hate it. Can be a great weapon in the hands of a pro.
  • Tempest-21: An assault rifle with the shape of a submachine gun. the low threat rate makes this rifle very useful for stealth only missions.
  • Commando 553 (DLC): CAR-4 with more damage but less ammo.
  • Eagle Heavy (DLC): AMR-16 with even more damage. Will eat all of your team’s ammo reserve in a few seconds.
  • Clarion (DLC): AMR-16 with a ridiculously high rate-of-fire.
  • Gecko 7.62 (DLC): More or less a AK.762, not worth using because of the slow reload time.
  • Gewehr 3 (DLC): Generic assault rifle.
  • Queen’s Wrath (DLC): CAR-4 with nearly no recoil.
  • Lion’s Roar (DLC): More or less the same thing as the Queen’s Wrath.
  • Valkyria Rifle (DLC): A direct upgrade of the AMR-16 but with a smaller clip size
  • Cavity 9mm (DLC): A single shot 9mm rifle that is somehow more powerful than all the other assault rifles in the game.

  • Rattlesnake (DLC): Low damage but high ammo pool.
  • R93 (DLC): The opposite of the Rattlesnake.
  • Thanatos .50 cal (DLC): The only reason people bought the Sniper DLC. Insta-kill all enemies in one shot, but the ammo pool is really low, so pick your shots wisely.
  • Nagant (DLC): Same as the R93.
  • Repeater 1874 (DLC): More or less the same thing as the Rattlesnake, except with a super awkward scope reticle. Just use the R93 or the Nagant Lebensauger .308 instead.
  • Lebensauger .308 (DLC): Same thing as the Repeater 1874 but semi-automatic. The only sniper rifle you should use.
  • Platypus 70: Free sniper rifle that makes the purchase of the Gage Sniper Pack DLC completely useless, the Lebensauger is better but this one is good enough

  • RPK (DLC): Same as the AK. Useful only for its somewhat quick reload time.
  • KSP (DLC): The only LMG really worth using. Decent damage, high ammo pool and fast rate-of-fire.
  • Brenner 21 (DLC): High damage and precision but low ammo, long reload time and slow rate-of-fire. Used by almost nobody.
  • Buzzsaw 42 (DLC): Same as the KSP.
  • Ksp 58: People complained that the LMG DLC pack was shit so Overkill gave the finger to those who actually bought it by releasing a free LMG that is just as good as the paid ones. GG.

  • Reinfeld 880: Used by nobody since the Locomotive 12G is the exact same gun but a secondary.
  • Mosconi 12G: Once upon a time it was the best shotgun of the game. So much good you could use it as a sniper rifle, but Overkill nerfed it to death. The Mosconi is now shit and a shadow of its former self.
  • IZHMA 12G: Automatic shotgun with the shape of a AK. Damage is too low to make it useful.
  • Predator 12G: The free alternative to the M1014.
  • Joceline O/U 12g Shotgun: Bonnie's shotgun. Same as the Mosconi, but actually useful and nearly makes the DLC shotguns almost useless.
  • M1014 (DLC): Semi-automatic shotgun with a big ammo pool. Best used with special shells.
  • Raven (DLC): Considered to be the CAR-4 of shotguns. Medium damage but lots of ammo. Can also be easily modded to be a stealth shotgun.
  • Steakout 12G Shotgun (DLC): Same thing as the IZHMA, but actually useful.

  • Locomotive 12G: The most used shotgun, with good reasons. You have all the power of a main weapon in the size of secondary weapon. Overkill nerfed it a lot in the past but it is still damn powerful.
  • The Judge: A shotgun with the form of a revolver. More or less the same as the Locomotive.
  • Street Sweeper (DLC): M1014 but as a secondary weapon. Again, best used with special shells.

They all suck.

They all suck except the ones from the Hotline Miami DLC.

Just like the akimbo pistols, all of them suck ass.

Do I really need to say it?

  • Chinamo 88: Starter pistol. Complete shit, get rid of it as soon as you can.
  • Crosskill: Generic pistol that nobody uses because of its low ammo pool.
  • Bernetti 9: Mainly used as a stealth pistol.
  • Bronco .44: Cool powerful revolver that can be turned into a pocket sniper rifle, provided that you bought the Gage Mod Courier DLC.
  • STRYK 18c: Fully automatic Glock, but damage is too low and recoil is uncontrollable to make it worth using.
  • Interceptor .45: Upgraded Crosskill.
  • Chinamo Custom: Arguably the best non-DLC pistol. The only downside this pistol has is shit accuracy. Otherwise it’s a pretty solid gun.
  • Chinamo Compact: Pocket Glock. A good alternative to the Bernetti 9.
  • Deagle: Same as the Bronco .44 but can be turned into a tacticool canon with the Gage Mod Courier DLC.
  • Gruber Kurz (DLC): Pocket stealth pistol that is best used as a sniper rifle. Really.
  • Signature .40 (DLC): Upgraded Interceptor .45 with godtier hip-fire accuracy.
  • Broomstick (DLC): World War 2 pistol that can be modded to look like Han Solo’s iconic gun. Still a neat weapon.
  • LEO (DLC): More or less the same thing as the Signature .40
  • Peacemaker .45 (DLC): Revolver Ocelot's iconic Single Action Army gun. A direct upgrade of the Bronco with more damage and better accuracy and stability if you can handle one of the shittiest hipfire accuracy in video game history.
  • Matever .357 (DLC): Reskin of the Bronco but you can equip a laser sight and other tacticool shit on this one.
  • Baby Deagle (DLC): Smaller, tacticool version of the Deagle. A good alternative to the LEO.

  • OVE9000: A circular saw. Best used as a tool for opening doors and safes instead of a weapon.
  • XL 5.56 Microgun : The same just like the vulcan minigun except it's actually free.
  • DECA Technologies Compound Bow: A fucking bow. only useful for stealth only missions.
  • GL40 (DLC): Single-shot grenade launcher. Actually does damage unlike thrown grenades.
  • Vulcan Minigun (DLC): High damage and faster than light rate-of-fire, but you need to be at a sound docking distance between your targets for this gun to be useful.
  • HRL-7 (DLC): Picture this, A RPG rocket launcher that can kill literally everything including you and your teammates in a single shot. Sounds overpowered, right? For the modest price of 5 dollars you can have this rape machine. Best of all: It is a secondary weapon.
  • Flamethrower (DLC): Performs exactly like all the flamethrowers in Team Fortress 2: Hold down the fire button, run to the enemy and hope for the best.
  • Piglet Grenade Launcher (DLC): Same thing as the GL40 but semi-automatic. Great for camping. Takes like a whole year to fully reload tough.
  • Plainsrider bow (DLC): A bow. Sounds silly? But it is currently one of the best weapons in the game. A highly concealable silent Sniper Rifle. You can pick back up arrows after shooting them, so in theory this weapon has infinite ammo (provided you know how to aim, which you surely don't).
  • Pistol Crossbow (DLC): Same as the bow but now as a secondary weapon and half of this damage power taken away. Worthless.
  • English Longbow (DLC): Direct upgrade of the Plainsrider bow, so if you already bought the Western DLC or whatever how it's called you wasted $5
  • Light Crossbow/Heavy Crossbow (DLC): More or less the same thing as the Pistol Crossbow

  • Grenades (DLC): They could be more described as flashbang grenades, because that's what they do: Stun the enemies instead of injuring them. Borderline useless, but incredibly useful at killing groups of civilians (if that's your thing).
  • Molotov Cocktails (DLC): Unleash a durable pit of fire that does small damage. Slightly more useful than frag grenades but still meh.
  • Dynamite (DLC): Reskin of grenades. Still the same shitty shit.
  • Shurikens (DLC): Unleash the weeaboo in you with these throwable Shurikens. But ask yourself: Why would you swap grenades for Shurikens while you can simply bring a silenced pistol for stealth heists?
  • Ace of Spades cards: A free throwable weapon, finally. Same thing as Shurikens with twice more ammo but half less damage and no poison. Still better than nothing.
  • Javelin (DLC): The only good alternative to Molotov Cocktails, those 3 bad boys can kill almost everything in one hit and you can pick them back up after throwing them.

With enough DLCs you can turn your weapons to something like this
The game isn't glitchy at all

Drama

The Death Wish update

In march 2014, Overkill finally realized that stealth in their game suck. So decided to turn the table up and change it to be a bit more 'evasive' like most stealth games. Players just needed to kill all the guards, control all the civilians and all the effort needed was over. But with the Death Wish update, guards sometimes respawn and there's a limited amount of corpses you can hide. They entirely changed how stealth worked. And of course this caused massive butthurt among players, no longer being able to farm money and XP stealthily.

The Crimefest Event AKA We won't release stuff until enough people love us

Since the release of the game, the community complained non-stop about Hoxton's old Voice Actor not being in the game. In late summer 2014, Overkill finally decided to give them what they wanted but not until their Steam e-peen is big enough.

So the Crimefest Event happened. Players and their friends were invited to join the game's official Steam Community in order to get Hoxton's old VA back and other cool free content for the game. For about a month, players harassed their friends not playing Payday 2 to join the group and created bazillions of fake Steam accounts to get all the rewards. But players were massively disappointed that the biggest final reward was cross-promotion between Overkill and Lionsgate to have John Wick as a free new playable characters. What disappointed everyone was the fact that even if they would have never reached the final goal, they would still have got John Wick anyway. They felt butthurt and betrayed that all their exhausting efforts at creating fake Steam accounts went to nothing.

The Hype Train Event AKA The Kickstarter Event

The Hype Train Event in a nutshell

In February 2015, Overkill finally showed their true colors and what they really think about their community. They started the Hype Train Event, same thing as Crimefest, free stuff for everyone but with a different twist. People were invited to buy as many DLCs as possible to finance the creation of free content for everyone. Yep, paying to get free content. It was finally the first time ever where literally everyone almost everyone agreed Overkill are greedy jews thinking their fanbase are wallets with legs.

So, after players spent 1.5M worth of DLCs, what did they got? 2 multiday heists split into standalones (basically paying for content that is already in the game), achievements that unlocks useless mods for weapons, Bonnie, a new overpowered enemy type, a proof-of-concept heist about drivable cars, some other stupid weapon mods and the Hoxton Revenge heist.

Last but not least, 6 months later Jewberkill hosted a Gayday convention in Seattle. During their event, they hosted a Gayday 2 tournament with a prize pool of $250,000 worth of DLC money courtesy of all the people who bought a shiton of DLC for this event to take place. They announced yet another character DLC, so this event is basically buying DLC to get more DLC announced. They also flew 10 random players to have buttsex orgy with the Jewberkill crew and the actors of the Payday webseries for pleasuring them with their wallets.

Money well spent.

Crimefest 2: Electric Boogaloo AKA The Team Counter-Strike Fortress Update

People are actually buying them

Remember Crimefest? That community event which in the end happened to be a pathetic promotion of a average action movie? It's back but it seems Overkill finally took lessons and decided to listen to the community! Instead of creating false Steam accounts and buying DLCs this time the community got to unlock new free content by simply playing the game. Like completing X heist 100 000 times, killing X enemy with X weapon, etc. It was fun and everyone was hyped. But if only they knew what Overkill had in store for them...

The first day of the event they introduced the Black Market Update, which brought two things. A massive rebalance of every single weapon in the game. Half of the weapons were rendered useless in every way and the other half ridiculously overpowered. And second: Safes.

Play the game and randomly you will earn a safe which contain a weapon skin. But how you open it? Buy a drill using Steam money! Sounds familiar huh? In most games with paid weapon skins they are usually only cosmetic but in Payday 2 applying some ugly flame electric skin on your AK somehow makes it more powerful, more accurate etc. And guess what? If you open a safe and get a skin for a DLC weapon you don't have, fuck you!

So for the rest of the week the Steam forums and the Payday subreddit (yes, the biggest OveyShill cocksuckers) turned into a warzone. Tons and tons of threads were spammed complaining about the introduction of microtransactions in a game with a ridiculously high number of overpriced DLCs and the fact Overkill broke their promise Payday 2 would never get microtransactions. Overjew pretended nothing wrong was happening so they released the Aftershock heist hoping the community will instantly forget about everything and go back sucking their jewish cock again, but the heist happened to be shit so people got back boycotting the game.

Finally a week later they decided to update the game so you now have a small chance to earn drills for free. Will the community actually forgive OveyJew like they did during the Hype Train event or keep the hate flames burning is yet to be seen.

Overkill's Apology

Ever since Overkill released microtransaction to the game, the community went apeshit on Overkill and making volunteer moderators went on strike. Overkill has finally noticed they fucked up big time and what did they do in return? They made an update for the game, and an apology to the fans who loved their games.

Hey everyone, The past few weeks have been some of the most challenging in the history of this community. Players have been angry with us, media have written about us en masse and our volunteer moderators went on strike. For all the distress we’ve caused the past few weeks, I’d just like to take the time and say that we’re sorry. We’ve done a lot of things right in the past, but these past few weeks we screwed up.

We need to get better at many things, and we will do our best to improve as soon as possible.

Too little, too late

Last thursday to celebrate the game's 100th update Overkill decided in a desperate attempt to bring back veterans of the game who ragequit after the weapon skins shitstorm that all future skin crates will be free for all to open. The community rejoiced but that doesn't mean Overkill will stop producing overpriced weapon and character DLCs though.

As Chains so eloquently put it: "Fuck that broke dick piece of shit drill"
