In reality, vinyl generally sounds like good music gone through a washing machine.  This is because most vinyl records were stamped out on shit grade, third rate, redneck recycled vinyl, especially any album produced in the 70s.  Additionally many producers opted to use thinner discs which in turn lead to warping and easy breakage.

Beyond manufacturing fuckups to save a buck, vinyl is inherently susceptible to static charge and as such pulls in dust and other shit like a magnet which in turn gives you a lovely Rice Crispies backdrop.  It's also highly susceptible to scratching which produces a wide variety of fun screeching noises and random repetitions as the needle continually falls back into the gouge mark, allowing you to listen to the same few seconds of audio over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over an- well, you get the idea.

Vinyl (plural: vinyls if you're a retard) is what hipsters, old people, and those who enjoy listening to their music in THE BEST format and quality use instead of the easier to access FLAC format. It has been around since the dinosaurs and is currently the only form of physical audio worth swiping from your local FYE, since, you know, no one buys CDs anymore.

Actual Audio Quality

In reality, vinyl generally sounds like good music gone through a washing machine. This is because most vinyl records were stamped out on shit grade, third rate, redneck recycled vinyl, especially any album produced in the 70s. Additionally many producers opted to use thinner discs which in turn lead to warping and easy breakage.

Beyond manufacturing fuckups to save a buck, vinyl is inherently susceptible to static charge and as such pulls in dust and other shit like a magnet which in turn gives you a lovely Rice Crispies backdrop. It's also highly susceptible to scratching which produces a wide variety of fun screeching noises and random repetitions as the needle continually falls back into the gouge mark, allowing you to listen to the same few seconds of audio over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over an- well, you get the idea.d͡ ʢd͡zd͡zd͡ʒʕm̩ɱ̩ʃb

Also, don't you DARE buy a reasonably price record player for your flowering hobby. If your player isn't over $600, its not a player and will destroy your records.
