Voat

Voat, formally Whoaverse, is a clone of Reddit but with much more success. Started by a 5th year community college student as a way to gather all the internet points, and by extension all the dank internet pussy, the site was nearly shuttered last year as "funding" and "investors" fell through. Luckily sometime last week a kind soul bought himself sysop, changed the name to something slightly less awful and Voat was born.

History

Much like most things of luls on the interwebs the site was born out of butthurt and boredom. The specifics are hazy as NO ONE CARES yet some elements of the puzzle can be pieced together. For instance we know the site was created by and for butthurt redditors as only redditors would replace a site they claim to hate with a site that s EXACTLY the same. Right down to the shitty subreddits, which on Voat are "subverses", like funny and AdviceAnimals. Replete with the same levels of failure at both humor and enlightened discourse.

A small trickle ran from Reddit to Whoaverse (now Voat) as eager, bright eyed faggots thought to stake a claim and gobble up all those sweet subreddits other, dull eyed faggots had gotten thier claws into. Yet time and time again they would realize this ite was a bigger failure then the one they left and quickly go back to thiet creepshots and there Black Peopke Tweets.

However, over the past something that trickle has remained steady with larger groups finding their way over anytime some dick deflatingly small sum mentions Voat. People claim they are tired of the censorship, the mods flopping there eVagoos around and the revaluation reddit's CEO used her pussy as a step stool then went to court to turn it into a shekel filled piggy bank.
