I can't help noticing the fact that the police *accidentally* set the cabin on fire is very reminiscent of when the FBI *accidentally* set the Branch Davidians at Waco on fire. Sure, one was a guy who shot some cops and the other was a peaceful group of cultists having legal sex with 14 year olds and legally stockpiling weapons. But it seems as if this is some sort of American police tactic. "YEA, LET'S SET THE PLACE ON FIRE AND PROMISE NOT TO SHOOT THEM IF THEY COME OUT! THEN SHOOT RANDOMLY INTO THE BUILDING ANYWAY!
