A meatpuppet is the human version of a sockpuppet, meaning it is one or more people acting as, or prolonging the actions, of another. There are roughly two groups of meatpuppets: dickhangers, lesser trolls who impersonate their more well-known counterparts, and shady pseudo-anonymous faggots acting under a cause (see: every one of Daniel Brandt's goons).

Differences from sock people and sockpuppets

Because meatpuppets are living people (or lack thereof) there is a significant difference from sockpuppets. Sock people on the other hand can be easily confused with meatpuppets, the only thing setting the two apart being the fact that sock people are several united as one name, whereas meatpuppets are many under one.
