You know how bronies are, without exception, the bottom of the social food chain, the completely unattractive? And those convention pictures that get posted on /b/ almost always depict people well above age 20! So maybe those people were bullied so harshly when they were younger that now they seek comfort in something "soft" that will tell them they're special, like a hugbox with merchandise. And it has the benefit of allowing them to interact with equally disgusting people so they won't feel as bad about themselves being like... well, like that. |
