Steam

Steam is a digital dictatorship system, commonly known as an online distribution platform for video games and related media to non-gaming software, developed by Valve Corporation. Initially, the software was developed because the company wanted a better way to update their stolen mods, like Counter-Strike, but in reality Valve craved for a tool capable of controlling and constraining its own community, including enforced marketing of their own products and involuntary unwanted downloads onto the machines of their users.
