Cupcakes is a My Little Pony fanfic by a brony named "Sergeant Sprinkles". As with all brony fanfiction, it's written with eloquence, wit, and sheer literary genius. It was one of the first of unfortunately many poorly written fanfiction stories to become prominent in the brony community, gaining a great deal of notoriety because of its controversial subject matter.

The plot can be very briefly summarized as follows: one pony brutally tortures and eats another pony.

The writing itself is terrible, and the only reason it became so popular was because most of these sheltered manchildren that have read it had apparently never seen a horror movie before and couldn't stand the thought of their waifus being turned into mincemeat. They believe Cupcakes is the pinnacle of offensive and disturbing content.

This led them to warn everyone not to read it, which obviously backfired.
