Skibidi Toilet
Skibidi Toilet is a series of computer animated YouTube shorts by DaFuq!?Boom! (Powerword: Alexey Gerasimov), a 26-year-old Russian autist who has been uploading the shitty shorts to his YouTube channel since February 7, 2023. Skibidi Toilet is created almost entirely with Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker and primarily uses assets that were stolen directly from the 2004 video game Half-Life 2.
Skibidi Toilet's so-called "plot" revolves around the "Skibidi Toilets", disembodied heads that reside in toilets and incessantly blast out a mashup of the songs "Dom Dom Yes Yes" by Biser King and "Give It to Me" by Timbaland whenever they open their mouths. The Skibidi Toilets are involved in a war with humanoids who possess cameras, loudspeakers, vibrators and other electronic devices for heads. For some ungodly reason, this shit is extremely popular with Generation Alpha and is essentially their equivalent of what Five Nights at Freddy's and Minecraft were to the zoomers before them.
The Lore
Season 1 of Skibidi Toilet introduces the fundamental unit of both sides of the war that is about to come. On the skibidi side, there is a head attached to a toilet, also known as the Skibidi Toilet. On the resistance side, there is a CCTV camera attached to a human body in the place where a human head should be, also known as a Cameraman. It is heavily implied in episodes 3 and 4 that the Cameramen are native to Skibiditropolis, while the Skibidi Toilets take on an aggressive and invasive role. From an artistic point of view, we already see the genius of Skibidi Toilet. One side bears a human head, but an artificial body. The other is represented by a human body, but an artificial head. Neither side is completely human. The viewer is left questioning which side to take, inspiring us to ask ourselves which part of a human is most important, displaying a nice example of the philosophical explorations that are constantly invoked by the show.
Season 2 contains the first instances of violence in the series. What was previously a somewhat goofy atmosphere quickly turns serious, as war trucks, organized armies, and explosions make their appearances in episodes 5 and 8. The Skibidi Toilets are also portrayed as wildly varying in size. What was previously a mere detail in season 1 is now a main feature of the Skibidi army, with some Skibidi Toilets being larger and stronger than their skibidi underlings. Episode 5 even portrays these massively sized skibidi toilets as being able to fly, further cementing their advanced strength. One might think that the Cameramen, who are all small, are facing a hopeless situation. Fortunately for those who have chosen to root for them, a fatal weakness of Skibidi Toilets is introduced in episode 7: flushing. By simply turning the toilet handle of a Skibidi Toilet, the head will be flushed down the toilet hole, never to be seen again. Still, flushing larger toilets proves to be quite daunting.
Season 3 simply furthers the conflict, with some religious themes making an appearance on the Skibidi side, implying a strong morale for the Skibidi Toilets, and a Skibidi Toilet police force in episode 9, implying some sort of local territorial governance of the Skibidi Toilets, providing more depth to and somewhat contradicting the original assumption that the Skibidi Toilets are nothing but invaders. Episode 10, apart from containing the first instance of a large Skibidi Toilet being flushed, contains the first instance of a Cameraman performing the “Thumbs Up” move, a gesture that will soon become iconic to the series, and a symbol of every triumph on the side of the Resistance. Episode 11 features a giant Skibidi Toilet with horns attached to its head, contradicting the “holy” Skibidi Toilet with a halo on its head preaching in episode 10. This implies some internal division between the Skibidi Toilets, a theme that will be explored later.
Skibidi Toilet Syndrome
Skibidi Toilet Syndrome is a disease that was first observed in Indonesia in 2023. The syndrome primarily effects children and results in them acting like Skibidi Toilets and engaging in increasing amounts of violent behavior.
Skibidi Toilet: The Movie
In July of 2024 it was announced that a Skibidi Toilet movie is currently in the works in Hollywood. The film will be directed by Michael Fucking Bay and will include over 9000 explosions.
Skibidi Toilet vs. Valve & G-Mod
Later in July of 2024, the company that owns the "rights" to Skibidi Toilet sent a DMCA notice to Valve and Garry because multiple games on Steam were supposedly "stealing" from Skibidi Toilet. Yes, they actually sent a DMCA notice to the company whose assets they stole.
