343 Industries is a crappy video game developing company located in Redmond, Washington. They are infamously known for making Halo games even worse.

List of Trash Games

  • Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Inferior bugged version of the original.
  • Halo 4: Chief goes emo while on a button pressing spree.
  • Halo: Spartan Assault: Mobile game.
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection: Totally fucking broken at launch despite being a collection of old ass games. Later ported to PC (still broken) for some quick extra jew gold.
  • Halo: Spartan Strike: Even more mobile games.
  • Halo 5: Worst Halo Game ever made. Overrated.
  • Halo Wars 2: Not real Halo. Worse than Halo Wars 1.
  • Halo: Infinite: Sequel to Halo 5, except the entire previous plot was retconned yet again and now includes characters from Halo Wars 2. Delayed after a massive shitstorm from players at E3 2020. Multiplayer will be free-to-play.

Trivia

In a Nutshell

JewTube user Ryan Braves made an excellent summary after the E3 2020 Halo: Infinite damage control by Microsoft and 343i to save us from wasting time writing our own extensive article about this irrelevant shit company:

I just wanted to address something you mentioned in the video. At around 3:30 you were inadvertently pushing the 'old build' lie that came directly from 343 damage controllers.

https://www.343industries.com/news/articles/employee-spotlight-ani-shastry

That link is an article published by 343 on the day of the gameplay trailer; an interview with the Development Manager of the Graphics team at 343. You can read it for yourself but I'm going to include a couple of choice quotes below that prove that what we saw wasn't an old build - in fact it's the best 343 can do.

"My team and I worked closely with the content creators to get the degree of detail and polish to the highest quality"

"While this is just a section of the final game, it took a herculean effort to make sure this little corner of our Ringworld was polished and pretty enough for its premiere!"

It really is quite breathtaking when you think about how incompetent the people working at 343 are at their jobs. There are two key inferences you can take from the quotes - you can read the article for yourself to see they aren't taken out of context.

1. 343 are so incompetent they actually thought what they were presenting was of "the highest quality" and they put in a "herculean effort" to polish that tiny section of the open world for the gameplay reveal.

2. This is the best 343 can do. They didn't see a problem with the blindingly obvious pop-in and non existent textures.

This game is at most 4 months from launch (mid-November) which means the game will have to go gold likely around mid/late October. Then 343 have a month to work on a Day One patch. Anyone claiming that things are going to be significantly improved or changed in any meaningful way are simply lying or they are delusional. Halo 5s public beta concluded a year before launch just for comparisons sake, which we aren't getting for Halo Infinite.

Ghost of Tsushima got its gameplay reveal at E3 in 2018 and nobody complained about the graphics - in fact they were actually praised for how good they were. It's a game that like Halo Infinite takes place in a massive open world, it still took Sucker Punch a further 2 years of development to ship the game and it's running on, and was built for, PS4 hardware - not PS5. Halo Infinite is apparently built from the ground up for the most 'power console ever made' and in a lot of ways looks worse than games from the 360 era.

I'd also like to highlight how simply complaining about 'the graphics' is an over-simplification of the problem. You don't need cutting edge hardware, ray tracing, 12 teraflops or 100 million dollar budgets to make your game look good - what you need is good art direction and competent employees. This is something Bungie understood with their Halo games every surface is covered with variation, contrast, nothing looks clean and they extensively use shaders appropriately to bring surfaces to life and make them pretty and interesting.

In contrast with 343 theres no art direction or atmosphere to anything - it's all flat, monotone, dull and lifeless. Whoever was in charge of texturing in the game was so fucking incompetent their work is bordering on non existent. To try and coverup this fact they've placed a layer of gloss and varnish over all of the visuals which is why the game looks very cartoonish. It doesn't matter if you have 500 million to pump into graphics, if your textures are plastic they're just going to end up looking like shitty high res 4k shiny plastic.

Since you also mentioned it in your video I'd also like to briefly mention the fact we're not getting any public flighting - despite the fact that 343, after the MCC launch disaster, promised that every Halo going forward would have public flighting prior to launch. This is indicative of a barely functional game that right now 343 are struggling to get to even run. As evidence for this I'd like to present the following video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7Ly2rhxR7U

The video is from Halo content creator Mint Blitz who details a Private Halo Infinite screening him and other Halo influencers/community members were given access to prior to the public seeing the gameplay reveal trailer. The video doesn't contain any new or interesting information about the game and that is because they saw the EXACT gameplay we did - the only difference is they got a running commentary from 343 developers detailing their vision for the game. They were allowed to ask questions but because everyone there is a community member it insured no tough questions for 343.

That's right - community members didn't see a single second of gameplay you haven't seen. You want to know why? It's because the game is in a barely functional state and the rest of the game, right now, looks significantly worse than what we saw in the gameplay reveal trailer.

Before I end this comment just some fun facts about Halo Infinite that I think really highlight how incompetent 343 are at making games and how any serious Head of Xbox would've fired 343 after the launch disaster of MCC, if not sooner.

- Halo Infinite is the most expensive game ever made at half a BILLION dollars.
- Halo Infinite has been in development for 5 YEARS.
- 343 have over 500 employees

The gameplay reveal trailer had a little over 4 minutes and 30 seconds of actual gameplay, from the second Chief steps out the pelican to the second he presses the button inside the AA gun and the Brute cutscene starts. That's almost 1 year and 100 million dollars for every minute of gameplay. Bravo 343.
