The Shylock test is an IRL old meme (no, srsly: it's been around for at least 100 years!) that has sparked debate over whether it inspired Hitler's final solution.

Background

Shylock was an evil jew character in a Shakespeare play. In the story, he got involved in a flamewar with a Christfag named Antonio who went on welfare and made him lose his jew gold, while his daughter fucked Antonio's BFF, converted, and stole from her dad.

In the play, Shylock begs for sympathy at the end:

Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, heal'd by the same means, warm'd and cool'd by the same winter and summer as a Christian is?
