Kohlchan is a young [[Germany|German]] imageboard. It is generally considered to be the successor to [[Krautchan]], which was killed by [[The_Cancer_That_Is_Killing_/b/|cancer]] and its lazy administration which decided to [[Delete_fucking_everything|delete fucking everything]] because they couldn't even be bothered to contact their hoster. The name "Kohlchan" was used because Kohl and Kraut can both mean "cabbage", and it also pays homage to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl. At the beginning of the imageboard the default name was set to "Helmut", but since some users [[Asperger's_Syndrome|could not live with that]], the name was changed back to Bernd.

At some point suddenly the message spread that a new picture board was born. Kohlchan. It was advertised on the above mentioned platforms partly for Kohlchan, however Ernst from Ernstchan became [[RAGE|very mett]] and [[Delete_fucking_everything|deleted]] every referencing post. Nevertheless, some Bernds got together and laughed about Ernst on this new board.
