Redirect Brilliance
A clever one redirecting "garbage" to "Bible." It's unfortunate that it's not likely to hold up when other EDiots come around to it, though. FilthyFurry 15:46, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'd have done one better, and also redirected "toilet paper." XD FilthyFurry 18:46, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
- Did it. :P FilthyFurry 01:41, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

HEY THERE! Hey, Gseed! I saw what you did with all those edits. I just wanted to say keep up the good work. |

Nice job on the templates--EmilyPlays 22:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
oh hi
do not re-add the shitty, outdated, incomplete, and broken template page. templates are being categorized to avoid endless, unmaintained lists. if you would like to help with this, awesome! but do not undo sysop actions. your block will expire tomorrow. H64 14:12, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- its not about me being right, its a matter of principle. do not undo sysop edits without talking with them first. youre right it doesnt make me right. being a sysop doesnt make me right. and i feel like a giant faggot everytime i enforce a single goddamn rule because i know what editor-me would think of sysop-me. he would say "jesus youre such a giant goddamn aspie faggot". and do you know what i would say to editor-me? i would say he was right. then i would ban him, and masturbate in a puddle of my own tears and feces. but the fact that I've been editing ed since 2006, had the first article i ever wrote frontpaged, was an ed irc oper, am bantownian, and was nominated for sysop there on many separate occasions by admins including odb, means its not necessarily the case that i have completely no idea what i'm doing either. that template page wasnt "nicely categorized", it was incomplete, monolithic, broken, and unorganized. i had personally cleaned it up on the old site on multiple occasions, and concluded it was unmanageable. The page you want to defend is something i helped to create, and i'm telling you its no good, it cant be good, its flawed by design. I didn't have the rights to move shit around, and that in combination with the fact that nobody else wanted to take on the responsibility of maintaining the list either, which i dont blame them for, naturally caused it all to fall into disarray. This was all around when ed started to nosedive, so the template situation only got worse, when things like the "series" template were made, which was a meta-template that acted as a stand-in for an actual category, except that it had to be manually updated. nobody knew what they were doing, and most of us gave up. So, here, the categorization process isn't done yet. There may be further splitting. The top template category may include a list of the most useful templates. But the general idea is that categories and templates have more intuitive and self-explanatory names. some templates have already been renamed. the point is letting the category be the list and the template name speak for itself. <3 H64 12:25, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Solution: Make a page with all the templates and keep the disambiguation page with the separate links as well. The old wiki had it at ED:Templates/All or something like that. --zaiger (talk) 13:28, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- lol no thats a terrible idea. also getting a list of all templates can be done from special:allpages H64 20:16, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- the people who want the monolith are guaranteed want nothing to do with maintaining it. that "solution" was already attempted, and it resulted in what i was talking about in the previous post. i love you though H64 20:23, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Re: intro text on categories: yes! thats the idea :) categories should mention/describe the general/popular ones. breaking the monolith up was the idea for categories in the first place :) the template names should still be self explanatory though. each template page should have a noinclude describing its parameters/usage. syntax is subject to change for any given template so any list or "introduction" on the category shouldnt be a mini monolith with syntax now in a second location. H64 20:14, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- yeah a good number of templates already have usage info. jolly good. H64 20:46, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
edisp
yo, i love Encyclopedia Dramatica:Image Selection Process, but is the template {{edisp}} needed though? Nothing uses it. H64 17:30, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- wait be your guest for what, deleting {{edisp}}? i would say if youre going to make a new list then at least start it off in your sandbox, but you'll find that the list will take on the shape of the categories anyway. it would be better imo to edit the category pages and give info on popular ones there. so if im a user looking for a template i can go through narrowing categories instead of scrolling through a salad. H64 17:51, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- i actually have a bot compiling a list of unused templates at the moment :) ok but if youre going to make Templates redirect to the ED page then please make sure you place a link to the root category there and in the root category make a link to the ED page so theres at least some explicit relationship between the two pages. like, on the category page: "For a general description of these categories and a list of commonly used templates, go to ED:Templates" or something, and on the ED page put "for the entire catalog of templates see Category:Templates". H64 18:44, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
bans
hey bb i couldnt find that user, plz add {{template|banplz}} to their userpage, talk page, or a hidden page under their username so they dont remove it. H64 03:27, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
templates
perhaps you meant those messages for someone else? {{template}} makes a link. it doesnt include it. it has the same result as
[[template:template|<nowiki>{{template}}</nowiki>]]
view the source
to which instances are you referring regarding noinclude, includeonly? i already employ those quite religiously. H64 20:52, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- template categorization isnt done, i couldnt think of a place to put the generator. if you have been paying attention, all uncategorized templates were moved to the root template category. the generator was the only one left after i did a mass cleanup. whether {{template}} looks weird is a matter of opinion, i like it. i wasnt the one who made it anyway. if i removed a noinclude it was probably on accident while i was combining multiple ones. thanks for noticing. H64 13:40, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- lol ya its p handy. i was thinking of decorative templates, too. a lot of things dont belong in the formatting category. things like {{topicon}}. other things could be put in there, too like emoticons. we should def have a list of pretty things for more beautiful in eyes. if you leave a bullet list of template names on my talk page i can have my bot read it and move them over automagically. <3 H64 15:42, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- warning looks stupid and isnt really appropriate. if you dont like bigred then just make the text plain. H64 10:50, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Butthurt faggot
Equivamp deserved that template. I posted the Unwelcome template about an hour before you did, and he deleted it like a typical butthurt furfag. I support protecting his page, and I oppose how your lulz was killed. You were doing your duty as an EDiot to oust faggots from our ranks, and for that I salute you. *inb4Equivampbutthurtresponse* Totensiediefurfag 22:34, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Mission Success
I finally done it. I brought back the MeganSpeaks article with lulz and good information. Then the contribute expanded a lot mostly thanks to MegaManSwordMan. And now it's the Article Of The Now (1/3/2012). I just want to say thank you. Ivo Robotnik: SnooPING AS usual I see! 15:42, 3 January 2012 (CET)
About Triple Nigger
Triple Nigger is basically an interesting, lulzy Google Suggest Search Result that I found from searching up the N-Word on Google's Search Engine. Maybe I should pipe Triple Nigger to A challenger appears because Triple Nigger really is a Challenger to Double Nigger! Triple Nigger is a great way to troll Google's search engine by showing everyone that even Google's "omniscient" search engine sometimes fails to filter out certain obscenities from its Suggested Search Results!
In summary, I added the Triple Niggers section to the Double Niggers article because I thought it was a very lulzy thing to do.

Concerning the Docs article, putting the "We've got a file on you" video down on the right there. I didn't even know how to do that, must more sleek, appreciate it. Elvis 20:58, 18 February 2012 (EST)

Because
Call me when somebody's sole purpose on ED isn't to advert their site and I'll care.
Also not really about the interlink thing. I use [{{SERVER}}/index.php?title=List_of_*chan_boards&oldid=459083]. The thing is any revision you link to has to have a revision number, which can only be copied from the link. You can use Template:Diff but by the time you're done copying and pasting diffs, you may as well just have copied the link and pasted it. I use {{SERVER}} for the sole intent and reason that if we lose a domain (.ch > .se) it gets updated. Mike the Great (talk) 14:13, 13 December 2012 (EDT)
