Breath of Fire (Weebspeak: ブレス オブ ファイア 竜の戦士; Literally: Breath of Fire: The Dragon Warrior) is a shitty turn-based JRPG developed by Capcom for the SNES that was originally released in Japan on April 3, 1993, and was later translated and brought to North America by Squaresoft on August 10, 1994. It is the first game in the Breath of Fire series and has since spawned multiple sequels of varying quality. The game was re-released for the Gameboy Advance in 2001 with enemies now giving 3 times the experience points and gold since the original was a boring grindfest that noone in their right mind would play today.

Most widely remembered for being that RPG where you can turn into a fucking dragon, Breath of Fire is also notable for being a gateway into furfaggotry with the majority of the playable characters being anthropomorphic animals – most of whom eventually gain the ability to fuse with the game's token black guy (who was, hilariously, made white in the western release) to gain alternate forms. Also, the game's villain is named Zog, proving that this game's developers knew what was up even before 9/11.
