Deus Ex Machina or literaly "God From The Machine" is a plot device in writing that resolves seemingly impossible situations, in story, with a very unlikely event or serious of events.


In Writing

Deus Ex Machina is seen as bad writing in that it uses devices that are outside of the plot mechanics or give the character such abilities and skills that they free the writer from having the main character face the same limitations of other characters
