Talk:Motor Oil
how the fuck is this even near internet relevant? and this is unfunny as fuck.-- Talk to me|Contribs 16:46, 16 November 2013 (EST)
- This article was deleted and Zaiger restored it. So if we can't add some kind of internet relevance to this article then we just lack imaginations. YouTube has plenty of funny videos related to oil changes. There is some internet relevance. Also, this article is good for piping. Feels better to clean something up then simply declare it crap and throw away someone's work. 13:01, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- Since we're mentioning SysOp 101, that's in my userspace. Nothing more than a collection of ideas. Should I ever move it to the mainspace and start citing it, then it's fair game. If you look at this article's history, you will see what I am talking about by helping new users with their article instead of breathing down their necks so they never want to return. 13:08, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- Dude, it's motor oil. It's doesn't matter how many images you add to it; it's still going to be lame and uninteresting. Zaiger restored something completely different. --JuniusThaddeus 13:26, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- Don't you have something better to do than worry about an article that isn't harming the wiki in anyway? Also I did explain internet relevance. If you really feel that strongly about it and have nothing better to do, then ask Zaiger what he thinks. This was a first article and what a terrible welcome. As admins our goal needs to encourage people to stay. We can't be elitists. 13:31, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- Morbidjoe's talk page wasn't spammed with kittens. The only "terrible welcome" here is a new user not being told what is acceptable and unacceptable, and the removal of deathnotices and your enabling removes any chance that this new user will learn anything and improve. --JuniusThaddeus 13:36, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- You know what, I left a message on their talk page to open up a dialog and invited them to ask me questions. Can you show me where you offered this new user constructive feedback? 13:41, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- No, I can't, because I hadn't. --JuniusThaddeus 13:44, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- And I present proof of no internet relevance whatsoever, nothing at all. 13:47, 26 November 2013 (EST)
- Urban Dictionary? Well, I'm done here. --JuniusThaddeus 13:49, 26 November 2013 (EST)
