tha_w3rm (born Thaddeus Leopold Werm) is a character used as the basis of a serial adding blog on LiveJournal, MySpace, and most recently Twitter. As an earthworm, tha_w3rm is hermaphroditic. However, it seems to have adopted a brazen male personality. He also needs to stop being an attention whore.

Personality

tha_w3rm, an aspiring dictator of the world, seems to suffer the symptoms of both an inferiority complex and a superiority complex simultaneously. He has also shown characteristics of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD. He commonly exhibits xenophobia and sexism as well as sparse racism, especially toward humans (particularly those of the emo or goth subcultures), possibly because of feeling inferior due to height limitations throughout his life.

In his earlier years he watched his cousin die of sunburn, get attacked, and be taken away by a ruthless gang of ants. This was very traumatizing for him. Because of this, he maintains a strong grudge against all ants. He claims to be very proficient in the martial art Worm-Fu. No others are known to study this lost art. For reasons unknown, tha_w3rm harbors a fear of the popular mascot for Kool-Aid who is often seen crashing through walls proclaiming "Oh yeah!"

His favorite film is Tremors although he admits it is followed closely by House Party 4: Down to the Last Minute. His favorite comic series is X-Men, relating to the struggle of mutants vs. humans. His favorite of the X-Men is Nightcrawler. Earthworm Jim is his favorite video game. tha_w3rm is an avid listener to the music of pop artist Hilary Duff, whose debut album Santa Claus Lane happens to be tha_w3rm's favorite Christmas disc. In fact, the only other music he has ever expressed interest in is the song "Dr. Worm" by They Might be Giants.

the w3rms best friend who loves the goatse.

The Blog

LiveJournal

July 25, 2006 marked tha_w3rm's first entry on his LiveJournal blog. Registering for the service was said to be the idea of a beetle that tha_w3rm knows. His writings are often brief and filled with angst toward others, usually complaining about his insect neighbors or the human menace. Many of his "friends" are unwilling and unhappy about being added to tha_w3rm's friends list, but due to LiveJournal policies there is nothing that can be done short of ignoring him. Some members approve of their journals being added to the list, however, as they find tha_w3rm's rude cynicism amusing. He has often been seen commenting on random entries from his friends page causing much confusion to those who were not yet aware of being "friended."

MySpace

In October of '06, tha_w3rm reluctantly made an account on MySpace. He very clearly dislikes everything that is the MySpace community, and claims the only reason he joined is to leave obscene comments on the profile of a particularly annoying cockroach by the name of Dexter de la Roach.

Twitter

After a long period of silence, tha_w3rm opened an account on Twitter.

Family

No specific records exist of any family members. However, tha_w3rm has acknowledged the existence of some of his relatives belonging to the heart worm species, who reside inside of various dogs. He has also admitted to having family living in Japan whose primary occupation consists of composting food at a Japanese restaurant before it is served to the customers of the store. The title of this store is unknown.

Serial Adder

Tha_W3rm is a LJ Serial Adder, and most of his posts tend to include nothing more than some complaint or another about something no one could possibly care about. In general, most of the responses on his journal are "Who are you?" and "Why did you put me on your list?"
