The Great Ubisoft Hack of 2025 is still ongoing... but long story short:

  • Rainbow Six Siege servers were hacked, where the hackers gifted some US$300-400 trillion worth of ingame currency to every user (at least 30 million active users)
  • Ubisoft's development archives—some 900 GB worth of data, covering nearly all games released since the 1990s AND upcoming unreleased games—will be leaked online if Ubisoft doesn't pay the hackers' ransom
